The latest broad Marvel Future Fight tier list places top characters in four class-based groups—Combat, Blast, Speed, and Universal—and rates them from S to B. Its snapshot is dated September 2, 2026, and labeled version 12.1.1; official storefronts already show version 12.2.0, so treat the rankings as a dated guide rather than a verified ranking for the newest update.
How to read the Marvel Future Fight tier list
Pocket Gamer’s list sorts characters first by class, then into S, A+, A, and B tiers. It is not one overall ranking of every hero and villain, and its tiers are editorial judgments—not results from a published win-rate study or controlled performance test. The page also cautions that character positions can change with updates and that synergy with other strong characters can affect placement. See Pocket Gamer’s tier list.
Use the rankings as a starting point, not as a universal answer to “who is best?” A useful comparison specifies the game mode, character class, uniform, advancement level, build and gear, and relevant team synergy. PvE and PvP are different contexts; the community-maintained THANO$VIB$ guide separates its recommendations accordingly and notes that PvP characters often depend on their ideal CTP. That is community guidance, not official testing. View the THANO$VIB$ guide.

Why the list’s version date needs a caveat
Pocket Gamer labels its tier list version 12.1.1 and dates it September 2, 2026. Apple’s listing records version 12.2.0 on September 1, 2026, while Google Play’s current update text also describes 12.2.0 content. The list includes Annihilus and Galactus, but its date and version label do not establish that its rankings were verified against 12.2.0 balance changes. Pocket Gamer tier list · Apple App Store listing · Google Play listing.
What the 12.2.0 listings say changed
The official storefront update text names Annihilus and Galactus as new characters, Tier-4 advancements for Annihilus, Galactus, and Drax, new Annihilation uniforms for Thanos and Drax, and a Mythic Annihilus World Boss. These additions matter when deciding whether a September 2 version 12.1.1 ranking reflects the game as currently listed. The update notes establish that content was added; they do not show that any character automatically became top-tier.

Earlier July update
Netmarble’s July 30, 2026 announcement introduced Spider-Man, Hulk, and Scorpion uniforms inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day and enabled Scorpion’s Tier-4 advancement. It is useful context for character changes, but it predates the later 12.2.0 storefront listing. Read Netmarble’s July 30 update announcement.

- Start with the mode. Decide whether you need a PvE or PvP character; a general class tier does not settle both questions.
- Check the current character state. Confirm the uniform and advancement level you can actually use, particularly where a recent update added options or Tier-4 access.
- Account for equipment and team. Build and gear can affect a character’s role, and team synergy may influence a placement. The community PvP guidance specifically flags the importance of an ideal CTP.
- Compare within class and purpose. The list’s S, A+, A, and B labels are class-based; they do not prove that an S-tier character in one class outperforms every character in another.
- Recheck after updates. Uniforms, advancements, and balance changes can make older placements less useful. The public tier list itself warns that rankings may shift.
Roster size and game availability
Apple describes the game as having more than 200 playable Marvel heroes and villains. Pocket Gamer calls the roster almost 250; that is its approximate description, not an official exact count. Apple App Store listing · Pocket Gamer tier list.
