Pocket Gamer’s September 2, 2026 Mario Kart Tour tier list places dozens of drivers in S tier, including Luigi (Classic), Toadette (Explorer) and Rosalina (Swimwear). It is an editorial snapshot for version 3.7.0, not a Nintendo ranking or a current recommendation: Nintendo ended the game’s service on September 29, 2026, U.S. Pacific time (September 30 in Japan).
How to read this Mario Kart Tour tier list
Pocket Gamer says its rankings reflect driver “viability and popularity.” The page does not provide a scoring formula or a reproducible driver-by-driver dataset, so the tiers should be read as the publisher’s judgment rather than a measured ranking that can be independently recalculated. The skill descriptions below are also Pocket Gamer’s explanations, not the result of an independent test. Pocket Gamer’s list, updated September 2, 2026 for version 3.7.0.
The assignments do not establish that a driver is best for every course, mode, account level or build. They preserve what the guide published, including an apparent duplicate: Dry Bowser (Gold) appears in both S and A. That discrepancy is left unresolved rather than silently corrected.

What does the end of service mean for this archived ranking?
Nintendo announced that Mario Kart Tour service ended Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in U.S. Pacific time. Nintendo’s Japan announcement gives the corresponding end as September 30, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Japan time; the one-day difference is a time-zone presentation, not a conflicting end date. Nintendo’s official U.S. notices and Nintendo’s Japan announcement give the service details.
Some historical information remains viewable for limited periods, but that is not continued gameplay service. Nintendo’s U.S. FAQ says Past Tours’ Stats and inquiries could be viewed in-app through January 12, 2027 at 9:59 p.m. PT, and past All-Cup Rankings through the end of September 2027. See Nintendo’s end-of-service FAQ for the stated windows.
