To manage a deployed Managed n8n instance, sign in to the provider dashboard, open AI agents, and select n8n. The application page is organized into Dashboard, Environment, Backups, and Logs. Use Open app separately when you want to work in n8n’s workflow editor.
Open the application management page
-
Sign in to the dashboard for the account that contains your deployed instance.
-
Open AI agents and select n8n to reach the application management area. The available applications can depend on regional rollout, as described in the Managed n8n setup guide.

Choose the relevant section: Dashboard for status and instance details, Environment for variables, Backups for restore or download, and Logs for troubleshooting records. Select Open app to enter the n8n editor instead.
This page controls the hosted application instance; it is not the same as n8n’s workflow editor. The managed offering handles deployment and server administration. n8n also documents separate npm, Docker, cloud, and self-hosting options, which involve different operational responsibilities (n8n documentation).
Check instance status and details
The Dashboard section shows the application’s status and provides controls to open, restart, or delete the instance. It also lists the installed n8n version, plan name and expiration date, and disk use. Shortcuts lead to Logs and AI-powered log analysis.

The dashboard guide also presents plan renewal and a disk upgrade to 50 GB as available actions. Treat these as actions shown in the guide, not as a statement that every plan includes 50 GB or that the same options are available to every account. Check the values and options displayed for your instance before making a change.
Change environment variables carefully
Open Environment to search for a variable or reveal all values. The panel provides controls to edit an existing variable with the pencil icon, delete one with the trash icon, or create one with Add environment variable.
These settings can affect how n8n works. The provider warns that editing or removing variables n8n relies on—such as N8N_WEBHOOK_URL and N8N_EDITOR_BASE_URL—can affect the instance’s functionality. Before changing a value, confirm why it is needed and keep a record of the original value so you can restore it if the change causes problems.
Restore or download a backup
-
Open Backups.
-
Select the backup using its date and time.
-
Choose Restore application to restore the instance, or Download backup to save a copy.
The provider says backups are created once daily and retained for seven days; the guide also says the list is empty until a backup has been created. These are the service’s stated backup policy, not a guarantee that a backup exists for every desired point in time. The page includes restore history so you can review earlier restore actions.
Review and export logs
In Logs, filter entries, limit the view to errors and warnings, and refresh the display. You can copy or download the visible logs for further review. If you use Analyze logs, the feature asks AI to review the logs and suggest possible fixes or performance improvements. Treat those suggestions as troubleshooting leads, not as a confirmed diagnosis or an automatic repair.
Best Value
When these controls are the right place to work
Use the application page for the hosted instance’s status, environment settings, backups, and logs. Use Open app for workflow editing. If your n8n installation is instead a self-hosted Docker or npm deployment, its setup and administration are a different path; the hosted dashboard’s controls should not be assumed to apply.
