For a documented bulk screenshot workflow, n8n has the clearer starting point: its Allscreenshots integration listing describes asynchronous jobs for up to 100 URLs, with job-status and result actions. Make’s GetScreenshot app documents webpage and element captures, usage lookup, and generic API calls, but the listing does not state a batch limit. That is a documentation difference—not proof that Make cannot process URL lists. Neither platform is established as categorically faster or cheaper for an identical workload.
What Make and n8n do in a screenshot workflow
Neither Make nor n8n renders the webpage screenshot by itself in the integrations covered here. They orchestrate a workflow that sends URLs to a screenshot service, handles its responses, and passes the resulting image or download location to storage or another system.
- Make: its GetScreenshot app lists webpage and element capture actions, usage lookup, and generic API calls. See the Make GetScreenshot app documentation; the page notes that some content is AI-generated, so check the provider’s current documentation for important implementation details.
- n8n: the Allscreenshots integration listing describes bulk capture and asynchronous job operations. A separate GetScreenshot and HTTP Request integration documents a raw-API route.
In either case, the screenshot service’s account limits, API behavior, and supported capture settings matter as much as the workflow builder.
Which is better for a list of URLs?
Choose n8n to investigate explicit bulk and job tracking
The Allscreenshots listing describes bulk screenshot jobs of up to 100 URLs, plus asynchronous capture, job status and result actions, quota tracking, and completion or failure workflows. The 100-URL figure is a capability stated for that integration listing, not a universal n8n limit or independently measured throughput. Confirm the service’s current account quotas before designing a production batch.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose Make for a visual flow built around its capture actions
Make’s GetScreenshot listing documents individual webpage and element screenshot actions, along with usage lookup and generic API calls. It does not state a batch size. That omission does not establish that Make cannot handle batches through loops or API calls; it means this source does not document a comparable batch limit.
Use raw HTTP when you need a provider’s API directly
n8n’s documented HTTP Request route to GetScreenshot can suit a flow that needs direct API calls rather than a dedicated integration action. It also means configuring credentials and working with the provider’s endpoint and response format. The exact request parameters and response handling depend on that provider.

How to design a reliable bulk capture flow
- Prepare the input: treat each URL as a record. Validate that it is a usable URL, normalize it consistently, and retain an identifier so the result can be matched to the source.
- Choose the capture artifact: decide whether you need a viewport image or a full-page image, and verify that the selected screenshot service supports the required mode and viewport settings.
- Submit captures: send each URL or batch to the provider. For long-running batches, favor an asynchronous API if available rather than keeping a workflow open while every page renders.
- Track completion: where the provider offers job status or completion callbacks, use them to collect results. Otherwise, poll at a sensible interval and respect the provider’s quotas.
- Persist per-URL outcomes: save the original URL, timestamp, status, and error information alongside the image or download location. That makes failed items identifiable without losing successful captures.
- Control retries and reruns: retry transient failures with limits, and make reruns idempotent so they do not create duplicate records or overwrite valid captures unexpectedly.
- Set concurrency to the service’s allowance: do not assume that a workflow builder’s ability to start parallel work means the screenshot API permits unlimited simultaneous requests.
Before committing to a design, run a representative sample that includes JavaScript-heavy pages, redirects, consent dialogs, mobile and desktop viewports, and long pages. These are evaluation checks, not reported test results.
Which costs less for bulk screenshots?
There is no supported blanket cost winner. The workflow platform and the screenshot provider can both affect the bill, and storage, retries, and—if self-hosting—operating infrastructure may also matter.

| Cost factor | Make | n8n |
|---|---|---|
| Workflow billing unit described in the cited source | Make says most module actions count as credits; each module action in a scenario is one credit. See its pricing page. | n8n’s August 2025 pricing update says charges are based on completed workflow executions—workflows running from start to finish. See the pricing update. |
| Effect of processing many URLs | Actions in a per-item loop may consume credits repeatedly; calculate from the modules that actually run per URL. | A single execution may contain multiple nodes; estimate how many complete workflow runs the design causes. |
| Plan figures established here | The pricing page lists Free at 1,000 credits/month and a 15-minute minimum run interval; Core scheduling is listed down to the minute. These are Make plan terms on the current pricing page accessed in 2026, not independent statistics. Recheck current terms. | The cited August 2025 notice describes a billing-policy change, not a complete current tier-and-allowance comparison. Verify current plans and allowances. |
For a meaningful estimate, model the same URL volume and workflow design: count Make module actions, count n8n executions, then include the screenshot API, storage, retries, and any infrastructure. Make’s page is the source for its own current plan terms; Make’s Make-versus-n8n comparison is vendor-authored, so it is not neutral evidence for comparative price claims.
Self-hosting and operational control
n8n’s official documentation includes self-hosting routes, including Docker Compose and cloud-provider installation options. Self-hosting can give an operator more control over infrastructure, but the operator also takes on infrastructure choices and maintenance. The available information does not define a deployment or its workload, so it does not support a numeric total-cost comparison with Make Cloud.

Performance, reliability, and how to compare fairly
No matched benchmark establishes which platform completes the same screenshot list faster, renders pages more faithfully, or costs less. The documented 100-URL batch capability is not a throughput measurement. To compare them fairly, use identical URLs, viewport and full-page settings, concurrency, retry rules, storage destinations, and plan assumptions. Track completion and failure outcomes as well as elapsed time, and account for screenshot-provider limits.
Or skip the browser setup
For a one-request screenshot API instead of configuring a capture browser, ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL and returns an image or PDF. Its API can accept cookie and consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses indicate the page verdict and billing status in headers. ScreenshotNeo also provides an MCP server with tools for AI agents to take screenshots, get page information, and capture PDFs. The Free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 100-URL batch mean n8n’s universal limit?
No. It is the bulk-job capability stated in the Allscreenshots integration listing, not a universal n8n platform limit.
Can Make process a batch of URLs?
The cited GetScreenshot listing does not specify a batch size. It documents capture actions and API calls, so the listing alone does not establish whether a particular batch design is possible.
Which platform is faster for screenshots?
The available sources do not provide a matched speed benchmark. Compare both using the same URLs, capture settings, concurrency, retries, storage, and plan assumptions.
