One Logitech Unifying receiver can pair with up to six compatible Unifying devices at the same time. The limit applies only to devices that support Logitech Unifying—not every Logitech wireless mouse or keyboard.
What is the maximum number of devices?
Logitech says a Unifying USB receiver can be paired with up to six Unifying devices at a time. That is a maximum, not a requirement: you can use fewer devices on the receiver.
Logitech Support states the six-device limit; Logitech’s product page for its USB Unifying receiver also describes support for up to six compatible keyboards and mice.
How to check whether a device is compatible
Look for the orange Unifying logo on both the receiver and the mouse, keyboard, or other peripheral. A Logitech product being wireless does not by itself establish that it can pair with a Unifying receiver. Logitech’s Unifying receiver overview explains the logo-based compatibility check.

How to pair a compatible device
- Confirm that the receiver and the device have the Unifying logo.
- Open Logitech’s pairing software for a supported device and choose the option to add a device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts. Logitech’s pairing instructions ask you to turn the device off and then back on when prompted.
Logitech says its standalone Unifying Software is no longer supported or maintained and recommends Logi Options+ for supported devices. Availability of pairing options can depend on the product, so check that device’s Logitech support page if the app does not offer the expected option. See Logitech’s device-pairing instructions.
What if you need to change receivers?
A Unifying device moved to another receiver must be paired with that receiver using Logitech’s pairing software. Pairing is not automatic simply because both receivers use Unifying. If you are replacing a lost receiver or buying a spare, Logitech lists its USB Unifying receiver as part 910-005235; verify the Unifying logo on your device before purchasing, since not all Logitech receivers are interchangeable. Can you remove a device from a receiver?
Yes. Logitech documents how to unpair a mouse or keyboard from a Unifying receiver. If the device you are removing is your only working mouse or keyboard, connect another working input device first so you can continue controlling the computer. Follow Logitech’s unpairing instructions.
