The Logitech G305 is a wireless gaming mouse with a 1 ms report rate, a HERO sensor rated up to 12,000 DPI, and up to 250 hours of battery life from one replaceable AA. A Best Buy listing captured it at $29.99, but that is a sale-price snapshot—not a guaranteed everyday price.
How fast is the G305?
Logitech specifies a 1 ms (1,000 Hz) report rate for the G305. It uses the company’s LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz wireless connection, which Logitech markets as delivering wired-like performance. The report-rate figure is the concrete specification; “wired-like” is Logitech’s positioning, not an independent latency test.
The HERO optical sensor has software-adjustable sensitivity from 200 to 12,000 DPI. Logitech says it tracks without smoothing, filtering, or acceleration. DPI is a sensitivity setting, not a direct measure of accuracy or response speed.
What does $29 get you?
At the captured price of $29.99, the G305 is an appealing entry-level wireless gaming option if you are comfortable with replaceable batteries. Best Buy’s price and PC Gamer’s coverage around the same price are snapshots; check the current listing, stock, and color before buying.

How long does its battery last?
Logitech rates the G305 for up to 250 hours of non-stop gaming in performance mode on one AA battery. That is a manufacturer rating, not an independently verified runtime. The mouse also has an endurance mode, but Logitech’s quoted battery-life figure is specifically for performance mode; actual life depends on settings and use.
