LG appliance warranty coverage depends on the exact model and component: parts and labor may have different time limits, and one product’s schedule does not apply to every LG appliance. What does my LG appliance warranty cover?
For a defect covered by the limited warranty and reported within the applicable period, LG says it may repair or replace the product. The exact warranty for your model determines which components are covered, for how long, and how service is handled. Start with the product’s included warranty and its LG support page rather than assuming one brand-wide schedule applies. LG’s U.S. warranty page directs owners to detailed product terms.
Example: LRFXC2606S refrigerator
LG’s support page for this refrigerator lists one year of parts and labor for standard coverage, five years of parts and labor for the sealed system, and ten years of compressor parts with five years of compressor labor. Check the component as well as the model
A warranty can set one period for the appliance generally and a different period for a named component. When checking a claim, match the exact model and the failed part to the warranty schedule. The schedule, not the appliance category alone, determines whether the component is still within its stated period.

Does LG warranty cover parts and labor?
It can, but the parts and labor periods may differ by model and component. For example, the LRFXC2606S schedule gives compressor parts ten years but compressor labor five years. That means a component may have a longer parts term than labor term; check both columns or statements in your own model’s warranty before assuming repair labor is included for the entire parts period.
LG’s general warranty terms describe repair or replacement for covered defects during the applicable warranty period. They do not mean that every breakdown, maintenance need, or repair is covered. Use LG’s repair page to choose the service route that fits your situation. It offers warranty repair, flat-rate repair, and repair tracking. LG says its repairs use genuine LG parts and accessories. Start or track an LG repair.

- Find the appliance’s full model number and serial number, usually on its product label.
- Gather your purchase or delivery date and proof of purchase, since the warranty period starts from the original delivery or purchase date.
- Open LG’s repair request page and select warranty repair if you believe the issue is covered, or flat-rate repair if you want to request that paid service.
- Follow the page’s prompts and confirm current eligibility, appointment details, and any charges before submitting.
- Use the tracking option on the same page to check an existing repair.
Warranty repair versus flat-rate repair
Warranty repair depends on the specific product terms and whether the problem qualifies as a covered defect. Flat-rate repair is a separate paid option: LG describes it as including required parts and labor and providing a 90-day repair warranty from the repair date. LG’s warranty-information page also describes Direct Service for out-of-warranty repairs and says the diagnostic fee may be waived if the customer proceeds. Confirm the fee and eligibility directly with LG before booking. What proof of purchase do I need for an LG warranty?
Keep the retailer’s dated receipt or bill of sale and, if applicable, the delivery ticket. Retain a copy with the appliance’s full model and serial information. LG warranty documents for particular products call for original retail purchase proof; one washer document specifies that it show the model and purchase date. Requirements can differ, so check the warranty for your exact model.

If you no longer have the original receipt, ask LG support what documentation it will accept for your model before relying on an alternative.
