The Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11 is a compact, quiet desktop with useful modern ports and enough performance for everyday work. It can also play some less-demanding games at 1080p: Tom’s Guide reviewer Anthony Spadafora found Session playable on the tested base configuration. That is a promising example, not proof that the Mini handles demanding current games well.

What is the Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11?

Lenovo also identifies the product as Yoga Mini i Gen 11 (1L, 11). The manufacturer describes it as a 0.65-liter aluminum desktop weighing about 600 grams; its PSREF specification lists dimensions of 130 × 130 × 48.6 mm and a weight of around 0.6 kg for the referenced machine family. Tom’s Guide’s tested unit measured 5.12 × 5.12 × 1.91 inches and weighed 1.32 pounds.

The small cylindrical enclosure is designed to sit on a desk or move between workspaces. Lenovo’s January 2026 announcement highlights an integrated speaker and microphone, fingerprint reader, accelerometer with touch sensor, Wi-Fi sensing, adaptive lighting, and support for up to four high-resolution displays. These are announced capabilities; the practical experience of sensing and lighting features can depend on configuration, software support, and updates. Lenovo’s CES 2026 announcement

Tom’s Guide reviewer Anthony Spadafora used the system as a daily driver for a month, reporting that it handled many browser tabs and light GIMP photo editing. He described its fan as virtually silent during ordinary use. Those are observations from his tested unit and environment, rather than a guarantee of noise or performance in every configuration.

Which Yoga Mini configuration should you consider?

The review covers two configurations with substantially different graphics hardware. Do not assume the base system has the higher model’s Arc graphics.

Configuration Processor and graphics Memory and storage Tom’s Guide listed price
Tested base Intel Core Ultra 5 325; Intel Graphics 16GB LPDDR5X; 512GB SSD $999, as reported in the 2026 review
Higher configuration Intel Core Ultra X7 358H; Intel Arc B390 32GB LPDDR5X; 1TB SSD $1,489, as reported in the 2026 review

These are Tom’s Guide’s review-era configurations and prices, not current quotes or a promise of availability. Lenovo’s PSREF identifies both processor options, soldered memory, and one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slot supporting up to 2TB for the referenced product family. Retail and regional SKUs may differ, so confirm the exact machine’s processor, graphics, memory, storage, and ports before buying. Lenovo also cautions that specifications can change. Is the Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11 good for gaming?

It is capable of limited, game-dependent 1080p play, but the evidence does not establish it as a general-purpose gaming PC. Tom’s Guide says Spadafora played Session at 1080p on the base system, using a 4K monitor, and found it “surprisingly well” (the reviewer’s wording). He cautioned that results vary significantly by game and that older or less-demanding titles are the more sensible target.

The distinction matters: the cited game was tested on the base Core Ultra 5 325 configuration with Intel Graphics, not on the higher model’s Arc B390. The review supplies no frame rate, settings breakdown, or multi-game results here, so it cannot support a prediction for a particular demanding release. If gaming is central to your purchase, look for tests of the specific game and configuration you intend to use rather than relying on the broad phrase “playable at 1080p.” Tom’s Guide’s Lenovo Yoga Mini review

How fast is it for everyday work?

Tom’s Guide reported responsive daily use, but its lab results place the Yoga Mini behind both comparison systems in the listed CPU benchmarks and media tasks. The numbers below are that outlet’s results from its 2026 review; they are not manufacturer claims.

System Geekbench 6.7 single-core Geekbench 6.7 multi-core 25GB file-copy rate HandBrake time
Lenovo Yoga Mini 2,667 10,850 1,457.1 MBps 6:12
Apple Mac mini M4 3,838 14,838 3,017.3 MBps 4:42
Geekom A9 Max 2026 Edition 2,910 12,476 1,550.6 MBps 3:30

In those tests, the Mac mini M4 and Geekom A9 Max 2026 Edition scored higher than the Yoga Mini on both Geekbench measures. The Yoga Mini’s quiet, responsive office use may still suit browsing, light editing, and routine desktop work; the benchmark comparison does not make it the performance leader. Results can also vary with configuration and workload.

  • Fast wifi: realtek wi-fi 6 2x2 ax & bluetooth 5.0; 2 x usb 3.1 (gen 1); usb-c / power-in; hdmi; micro-sd card reader; headphone / mic combo

What ports and display connections does it offer?

Lenovo lists dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual full-function USB-C Gen 2 ports, USB-A, and HDMI, and says the system can support up to four high-resolution displays. Tom’s Guide also lists 2.5Gb Ethernet and a headphone jack. Because the exact arrangement may vary by regional SKU, check the specification for the unit on offer if a particular port or display connection is essential.

The range of connections makes the Mini plausible as a small desk hub, but confirm how your monitor connects—USB-C/Thunderbolt or HDMI—and whether your peripherals need USB-A. Lenovo’s display-support statement does not by itself specify the resolution and refresh-rate combination for every multi-monitor setup.

Can you upgrade the Yoga Mini’s RAM or SSD?

Memory is not upgradeable

Lenovo’s PSREF says system memory is soldered to the board and not upgradable, with 32GB listed as the maximum for the referenced family. Choose the memory capacity at purchase; confirm the specific SKU, since configurations differ.

Storage can be replaced, but access is awkward

The referenced specification lists one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slot, with support up to 2TB. Tom’s Guide says opening the top of the tested unit required suction and that there is no second M.2 slot. Replacing the existing drive therefore means cloning it first if you want to preserve its contents and system installation. The reviewer’s account describes a fiddly service process, not an official Lenovo repair procedure. Check compatibility and capacity for your exact SKU before buying a replacement SSD.

How does the Yoga Mini compare with a Mac mini?

In Tom’s Guide’s 2026 lab comparison, the Mac mini M4 outscored the Yoga Mini in Geekbench 6.7 single- and multi-core results, copied a 25GB file at a higher reported rate, and completed the HandBrake task sooner. The comparison is useful for performance context, but it does not establish a universal winner: configurations, operating systems, ports, software needs, and current local prices should all factor into a purchase.

The Yoga Mini’s distinctive selling points in this review are its very small aluminum enclosure, broad listed connectivity, and quiet observed everyday operation. Compare the exact model and price available to you, and weigh those traits against the Mac mini’s stronger results in the cited tests. The historical Yoga Mini prices above should not be treated as a current price comparison.

Is the Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11 worth it?

It is worth considering if you want an unusually compact desktop for routine work, value a quiet setup and varied ports, and are comfortable selecting the right memory and storage configuration upfront. Its 1080p gaming claim should be read narrowly: one reviewer found one less-demanding game playable on the base system, while performance across current games is not established by the available hands-on evidence.

Potential buyers should compare current local listings rather than anchoring on the review’s $999 and $1,489 figures. A higher configuration changes the graphics hardware as well as the processor, but does not make the review’s single game example a broad performance guarantee. For more demanding gaming or workloads, seek evidence for the exact configuration and tasks before deciding.
