If you want a substantial LEGO Halloween build, the clearest choice is between the 736-piece Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion 31167 and the retired, adult-oriented Haunted House 10273. The first is designed for ages 9+ and can be rebuilt into three different models; the second is a much taller display piece built around an interactive ride. For a smaller decoration, consider the Spider & Haunted House Pack 40493 or the seasonal builds listed by LEGO for 2026. LEGO’s official listings reviewed here do not establish a direct spooky-castle counterpart, so the mansion and seasonal sets below are not presented as castles.

Haunted Mansion 31167: the flexible choice for play and rebuilding
LEGO Canada describes Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion 31167 as a 736-piece set for ages 9 and up. It can be assembled as a two-story haunted house, a haunted ship, or a haunted train with a platform. Those are alternate builds using the same pieces, not three models that can be displayed together. The house configuration measures approximately 25 cm high, 24 cm wide, and 15 cm deep. The set includes five monster characters: a werewolf, vampire, ghost with a glow-in-the-dark cape, Frankenstein’s monster, and a skeleton. That cast and the ability to rebuild make it a strong fit when the goal is hands-on play or variety from one box rather than a single permanent display model.

Haunted House 10273: a tall retired display with a ride
LEGO’s US listing describes Icons Haunted House 10273, also called Manor von Barron, as an adult-oriented haunted-house ride. At roughly 68 cm high by 25 cm wide and 25 cm deep, it is much taller than the house build of 31167, so check the vertical space where you plan to display it. LEGO lists 3,231 pieces and ten minifigures. Features include an interior that opens for exploration, automatic doors, a cursed painting with a light brick, and a working free-fall feature. The model is marked retired on that US listing. A retired designation is not the same as a promise that no copies can be found: current stock may depend on region and seller. If buying outside LEGO, check whether the set is complete, whether the figures and light brick are included, and the seller’s condition description.

Motorizing the elevator is optional. LEGO specifies that it requires one Powered Up 88009 hub and two 88008 motors, sold separately; the light brick’s battery is included. Factor those components into the total only if you want the motorized elevator. LEGO does not state their prices in the cited product information.

Spider & Haunted House Pack 40493
This 132-piece set is for ages 7+ and consists of a poseable spider and a small haunted house, each with a string for hanging as Halloween décor. It is a compact seasonal build, not a substitute for a large haunted-house centerpiece. LEGO’s US product page shows it sold out, so availability through other sellers can change. LEGO’s 2026 seasonal assortment
LEGO’s UK Halloween 2026 collection lists the Halloween Pumpkin Lantern (323 pieces, ages 9+, £24.99) and Halloween Skull Candle (204 pieces, ages 9+, £17.99), alongside La Catrina, Mayor Manor, Halloween Wreath, Altar of the Dead, and other seasonal or spooky builds. These are listings and prices on LEGO’s UK page, not universal prices; availability may differ elsewhere. Is there a LEGO spooky castle?
The official LEGO pages reviewed for these main options do not establish a named Halloween castle set that directly compares with 31167 or 10273. Both principal large builds are described as haunted houses or a haunted mansion, not castles. Seasonal models such as a pumpkin, skull, wreath, or character build are a different category, so choose a castle-themed set only after verifying its exact model name and current listing.

Earlier collector option: Haunted House 10228
The retired Monster Fighters Haunted House 10228 is useful context for collectors, but it is not a current alternative with confirmed availability. LEGO’s retired listing identifies it as a 2,064-piece, three-floor opening house with six minifigures, measuring about 39 cm high, 24 cm wide, and 19 cm deep.
