The KitchenAid 5KFP0919ACU is an Australian-market 9-cup food processor with a 250 W motor and a set of blades and discs for chopping, slicing, shredding, pureeing and dough work. Its documented specifications and included tools make its intended uses clear, but the public CHOICE page does not reveal independent performance scores, so there is not enough public evidence to call it a proven best performer. CHOICE also marks the model discontinued; check current stock, warranty terms and exact model code before buying.
What is the KitchenAid 5KFP0919ACU?
The 5KFP0919ACU is the Contour Silver, 9-cup version listed for Australia. KitchenAid’s October 2018 Australian specification sheet gives its power as 250 W and its dimensions as 42.5 cm high, 24.5 cm wide and 20 cm deep. Appliances Online lists the exact SKU at 2.9 kg; CHOICE gives 3.1 kg. The available sources do not explain that weight difference, so treat each as a source-specific figure rather than assuming one is definitive.
CHOICE describes the capacity as 2,000 mL, while KitchenAid’s Middle East/Africa page describes a regional 5KFP0919 variant as 2.1 L. KitchenAid and Appliances Online call the Australian model 9 cup. These are different regional sources and ways of expressing capacity; the 2.1 L figure should not be assumed to describe the Australian unit. See the CHOICE listing, Australian retailer listing, Australian specification sheet and regional KitchenAid page.

What can it do, and what is included?
For the Australian SKU, Appliances Online lists a multipurpose blade, dough blade, thin and medium reversible slice/shred discs, and a thick slicing disc. KitchenAid lists chopping, shredding, slicing, pureeing and kneading as product functions. The tools suggest flexibility across everyday prep and dough mixing, but those listed functions are not independent evidence of how well the machine performs each task.
#1 Best Overall
- Dice, slice, shred or julienne a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables or cheeses
- ExactSlice system with external adjustable slicing lever always you to easily to go from thick to thin
- The wide feed tube accommodates various sizes of food for less prep work
- Model KSM2FPA includes (1) slicing disc, (1) shredding disc, (1) julienne disc, (1) dicing kit, (1) storage case
- Multipurpose blade: for general chopping and processing.
- Dough blade: intended for kneading. KitchenAid says, “Knead pizza and bread dough with the dough blade.” This is manufacturer product copy, not a test result.
- Reversible slice/shred discs: thin and medium options provide two stated slicing or shredding choices.
- Thick slicing disc: an additional slicing option.
Appliances Online also lists three speeds, illuminated controls, a sealed bowl, a 2-in-1 feed tube, dishwasher-safe vessels and accessories, and a cord wrap. The listing says the machine is not designed or intended for commercial use.
How is it designed to work?
KitchenAid’s US page for the KFP0919CU describes High, Low and Pulse settings, one-click twist-free bowl assembly, a latched lid, in-bowl accessory storage and a leak-resistant work bowl. Those are manufacturer details for the US KFP0919CU, not automatic confirmation of every feature on the Australian 5KFP0919ACU. The Australian retailer independently lists three speeds, sealed bowl and 2-in-1 feed tube, but buyers should check the Australian model’s own manual for exact operation and cleaning guidance.
Rank #2
- Convenient 3.5 cup work bowl features a locking blade, handle and pour spout for easy serving, and dishwasher-safe for quick clean up
- With its small, countertop friendly footprint and simple cord wrap, its easy to store, neatly tucking away when you're finished prepping
- 2 speeds and pulse for coarse or fine results for anything from chunky pico de gallo and salsa, to a creamy hummus, smooth sauce or tasty dressing
- Easily incorporate liquid ingredients for sauces and dressings while processing with the drizzle basin
- Precisely chop or puree with the stainless steel multi-purpose blade that locks in place for convenient pouring.
KitchenAid’s 9 Cup Product Help hub covers assembly, blade and disc installation, cleaning, disc selection, use and troubleshooting. Use the exact-model documentation to identify compatible replacement parts; a similar-looking accessory is not proof that it fits.
Is the KitchenAid 5KFP0919ACU any good?
The available public evidence is sufficient to assess its published specification and tool set, but not its measured results. CHOICE’s page has headings for expert rating, performance, ease of use, slicing, crumbing, shredding, pastry, emulsifying and noise, but the scores are restricted to members. The page does not expose a public rating or comparative ranking. No task score or noise result should therefore be inferred from the presence of those categories.
Rank #3
- All-in-one storage solution stores all blades and discs directly in the bowl
- Snap-and-go, easy-clean work bowl with a twist-free, one-click bowl assembly and latched lid; Add warm water and 1-2 drops of dish soap in the leak-resistant bowl to quickly clean bowl and blades
- Chop, shred, slice and puree everything from fresh veggies to cheeses, sauces, salsa and so much more with the included multi-purpose blade and reversible slice/shred disc
- Reduce prep time with the 2-in-1 feed tube and process a variety of ingredient shapes and sizes - tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes and more
- Simple controls with 3 speeds (High, Low and Pulse) to handle a variety of ingredients with precision. The easy-press paddles and illuminated LED controls make operation simple
On paper, the processor is aimed at people who want a compact, multipurpose appliance with several slicing and shredding options plus a dough blade. Whether it is a good choice depends on your batch sizes, the tasks you do most, available counter or cupboard space, and the current price and stock. If independent performance is central to your decision, the accessible evidence does not establish that this model beats competing processors.
Is it discontinued, and what does it cost?
CHOICE marks the Australian 5KFP0919ACU as discontinued and displays a price of A$299. The accessible page does not state when that price was recorded, so it is not a reliable current-price quote. A discontinued label does not prove that every retailer is out of stock, but availability may be limited or listings may refer to a different regional model. Confirm the SKU on the product label or seller listing before ordering.
Rank #4

What warranty is listed?
CHOICE and Appliances Online list a two-year warranty for the Australian model. KitchenAid’s 2018 specification sheet describes a “2 YEAR REPLACEMENT LIMITED WARRANTY.” The available sources do not establish whether those terms remain current or detail exclusions and claim procedures; confirm coverage with KitchenAid Australia or the retailer before purchase.

The KFP0919CU is the US regional model, while 5KFP0919ACU is the Australian SKU. They belong to the same model family, and KitchenAid’s US page is useful for understanding features in that family, but the shared 0919 designation does not establish identical electrical configuration, included accessories or replacement-part compatibility. For an Australian purchase, verify the exact 5KFP0919ACU code, local electrical suitability and parts support rather than relying on the US suffix.
