Kinsta is managed WordPress hosting with plans for single sites, multiple sites, agencies, and larger custom deployments. Its published plan prices start at $35 per month, but the right fit—and the real cost—depends on install count, server or visit allowances, CDN bandwidth, storage, backups, and possible overages or paid add-ons. This guide summarizes Kinsta’s published pricing and features; it does not report independent speed or uptime testing.
How much does Kinsta cost?
Kinsta’s pricing page lists prices in U.S. dollars, before tax, with monthly and annual billing choices. The entry Single 20GB and WP 2 bandwidth plans are shown with a first month free; the newer Launch-through-Lead plans also show a first-month-free offer for select plans. Promotions and prices can change, so check the live Kinsta pricing page before purchasing.
Single-site and bandwidth plans
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price | WordPress installs | Server bandwidth per month | Storage | CDN bandwidth | Backup retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single 20GB | $35 | $350 billed annually | 1 | 20GB | 10GB | 125GB | 14 days |
| WP 2 bandwidth | $70 | $700 billed annually | 2 | 40GB | 20GB | 250GB | Not stated on the pricing details summarized here |
The Single 20GB and WP 2 prices and allowances are those listed on Kinsta’s pricing page, accessed October 7, 2026; both prices are presented after a first free month. The pricing details summarized for WP 2 do not give a backup-retention figure, so compare that allowance directly on the live plan page.
Launch-through-Lead plans
Kinsta’s newer business tiers use bandwidth-based pricing, according to its plan guidance. The pricing page lists the following monthly and annual prices:
#1 Best Overall
- easy to use
- Free app
- Compatible with all devices
- It gives the best comparison between ten different hosts
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price |
|---|---|---|
| Launch | $35 | $350 |
| Launch Plus | $59 | $590 |
| Build | $69 | $690 |
| Expand | $99 | $990 |
| Scale | $169 | $1,690 |
| Lead | $299 | $2,990 |
Across these tiers, Kinsta lists allowances ranging from 1 to 20 installs, estimated monthly visits from 75,000 to 1,500,000, server bandwidth from 15GB to 275GB, storage from 15GB to 60GB, and CDN bandwidth from 125GB to 1,000GB. The published figures vary by plan; consult the live pricing page for the allowance attached to each tier. Annual amounts reflect the page’s annual billing option, and select plans may have a first-month-free promotion.
Agency and enterprise options
Agency plans start at $340 per month, or $284 per month when billed annually. Enterprise plans start at $500 per month and use custom resources and terms. These are starting prices rather than a quote for every configuration; request current details from Kinsta before comparing a specific deployment.
What does Kinsta include?
Kinsta describes its managed WordPress hosting as including operational, diagnostic, and site-management tools. These are provider-listed capabilities, not evidence of a particular speed or uptime result.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- Delivery and caching: a Cloudflare-powered CDN and edge caching.
- Diagnostics: an application performance monitoring (APM) tool that can show PHP processes, database queries, and external calls.
- Backups and staging: daily automatic backups and free staging environments.
- Access and administration: SFTP/SSH access, site-management tools, analytics, unlimited users with flexible access management, and a REST API.
- Migration and database support: unlimited migrations and MySQL optimization.
- Security and support: WAF and DDoS protection, malware removal, 24/7 support in eight languages, and SAML SSO/JIT provisioning.
Kinsta also uses speed-boost language in its marketing. Treat that as a vendor claim rather than an independent benchmark: the published specifications and testimonials do not establish measured performance for your site.

Which Kinsta plan should you choose?
Start with your real site count and recent usage, rather than choosing from the entry price alone. Kinsta recommends reviewing usage across prior billing periods when comparing plans. Match each site’s needs to the plan’s install count, server bandwidth or visit allowance, CDN bandwidth, storage, and backup retention.
- Count installs. Check how Kinsta defines an install and whether a network or domain alias changes the count.
- Review resource history. Compare recent server bandwidth or visits, CDN transfer, and storage with the plan’s allowances. Use a representative period, including traffic peaks if they recur.
- Check backup needs. Confirm the retention period included in the specific plan, then determine whether a paid backup option is necessary.
- Price likely overages and extras. Estimate costs using your expected usage, then add any features your team needs that are separately charged.
- Verify billing and current terms. Compare monthly with annual billing and confirm promotions, allowances, and add-on prices on Kinsta’s live page.
A site with one install and modest resource use may find the Single 20GB allowance easier to evaluate; a business choosing among Launch-through-Lead should pay particular attention to the bandwidth-based model. Agencies and larger deployments should request a configuration that reflects their site count and resource requirements rather than treating a starting price as a complete quote.
Rank #4
Does Kinsta charge overage fees?
Yes. Kinsta documents charges for usage beyond certain plan allowances. Its overage documentation, last updated March 9, 2026, lists these rates:
Recommended Free Tools
| Overage type | Published rate |
|---|---|
| Visits | $0.50 per 1,000 visits |
| Server bandwidth | $0.50 per GB |
| Disk space | $2 per GB per month, prorated daily |
| CDN bandwidth | $0.05 per additional GB |
Kinsta says sites remain online when limits are exceeded, but extra charges can accrue. Read the current overage policy and model likely usage before selecting a plan; rates and policies may change.

Which Kinsta features cost extra?
Several capabilities are listed as optional paid extras on the pricing page. The exact charge depends on the option and current terms, so verify it before adding it to a plan.
- External backups and more frequent backups
- Premium staging
- Redis caching
- Reverse proxy
- Additional disk space
- Additional WordPress sites
- Automatic updates
Keep these separate from the included features when estimating total cost: an included daily backup or free staging environment is not the same as every backup frequency or staging option being free.
How does Kinsta count WordPress sites?
Kinsta defines an install as a WordPress site with live and staging environments. A domain alias does not automatically count as an additional install. Multisite subsites share the primary install’s resources, so they do not function like separate, independently resourced installs for plan comparison.
Kinsta says multisite is available on all plans except Single 35k visits and Single 20GB bandwidth. Because the plan names and eligibility can change, check the current plan terms if multisite is central to your setup. See Kinsta’s WordPress multisite documentation.
What the published evidence can—and cannot—tell you
Kinsta’s pricing page and documentation establish the features, allowances, billing options, and policies it publishes. They do not establish independent comparative value, a measured speed improvement, or an uptime result. Kinsta’s site also publishes customer testimonials; those are provider-published endorsements, not benchmark data. For a hosting comparison, line up the same billing term, install count, traffic or bandwidth allowance, storage, CDN transfer, backup retention, migration support, support access, staging and APM tools, security services, and likely overage and add-on costs.
