Kewill announced Kewill MOVE on September 23, 2013, as an enterprise software platform for transportation, logistics, and trade compliance. It was aimed at logistics service providers, manufacturers, retailers, and distributors, with launch-era plans for both on-premises and SaaS deployment and general availability beginning in October 2013.
What Kewill MOVE was designed to do
Kewill described MOVE as a multimodal supply-chain execution platform spanning six connected areas: trade, transport, warehousing, compliance, logistics management, and partner integration. Its announcement presented these as parts of a broad enterprise offering rather than a physical product. Trade and transport
The Trade area was described as shipment management from order through invoice, covering full containers through parcels and activities such as freight forwarding, transportation, and warehousing. Kewill said that connecting these workflows could give businesses earlier insight into potential supply issues and trade barriers.
Transport was intended to handle air, sea, rail, and road movements. The announcement included full-load and less-than-truckload freight, pallets, and parcel deliveries, across local, regional, and global operations.

Warehousing, compliance, and visibility
Store covered warehouse and inventory management, including inventory visibility for suppliers and customers and wireless technology for warehouse-operator productivity. Comply addressed customs and trade compliance, regulatory-change awareness, and connections to local customs applications.
Manage was the platform’s visibility and oversight area: Kewill described end-to-end logistics visibility, dashboards, key performance indicators, and proactive alerts. Integrate was intended to support external collaboration and business-to-business integration with trading partners.

Who it was for and how it could be deployed
Kewill named logistics service providers, manufacturers, and retailers and distributors as intended users. The company said MOVE would be offered as either on-premises software or software as a service (SaaS). The announcement does not explain infrastructure requirements, implementation timelines, or how responsibilities differed between those deployment models, so it is not enough to determine which option would have suited a particular organization.
Availability, pricing, and launch-era scale
Kewill said general availability would begin in October 2013. The announcement did not list a price; it directed prospective customers to contact a Kewill representative for pricing and further information. These are statements about the 2013 launch, not evidence of present-day availability, ownership, support, or pricing.

The company also reported that its platform supported supply-chain execution activities at more than 7,000 companies, in over 40 countries and across five continents. Those figures are Kewill’s 2013 claims, not independently verified measurements or current company metrics.

The release framed MOVE as a way to bring transportation, trade, warehouse, compliance, and partner workflows together. It also quoted Kewill CMO Evan Puzey saying, “Today’s supply chain requires technology to access and analyze as much information as possible to successfully meet consumer demand.” Kewill president and CEO Bob Farrell said the platform would enable “faster and more efficient movement of goods and information for companies worldwide.” These are company statements about the product’s rationale and intended benefits, not independent evidence of measured performance.

The launch materials provide no quantified performance results, named MOVE customer case studies, implementation-duration figures, or feature-by-feature comparison with competing platforms. They also do not establish the product’s status today. The announcement attributed a business-priority observation to Gartner’s May 13, 2013 report, Survey Analysis: Business Priorities in North America Shift Toward Investment in Customer Experience, Providing Opportunity in the Supply Chain Market, by Chad Eschinger and C. Dwight Klappich. It supplied no numeric survey result, so the observation should not be read as a quantified finding.
