For a small site with a handful of important pages and low-urgency monitoring needs, Wachete’s free plan may be enough. Wachete’s pricing page lists five static pages, no dynamic pages and 12 months of history. Its price-tracking page says free checks run once a day, but the pricing page currently shows the check interval as “?”. Confirm the cadence in your account before relying on it for alerts. Daily checks are not a good fit for fast notifications or time-sensitive outage detection.
What Wachete’s free plan includes
Wachete’s official pricing page, accessed October 3, 2026, lists these Free-plan limits and features:
| Item | Free plan |
|---|---|
| Static pages | 5 |
| Dynamic pages | 0 |
| Data history | 12 months |
| Monthly check cap | None, according to Wachete’s FAQ |
| Check interval | Pricing page displays “?”; Wachete’s price-tracking page says once per day |
The lack of a monthly check cap does not mean unlimited pages or frequent checks. It is a policy about check volume; the page allowance and checking cadence remain separate limits. Wachete’s FAQ says, “No – Wachete does not impose any monthly check cap.” See Wachete’s pricing page and its FAQ.

Is five pages enough for a small website?
It can be, if you select pages whose changes matter rather than trying to monitor every URL. For example, a small business might prioritize its homepage, pricing page, service details and contact page. A publisher might choose a key landing page and several pages where accuracy is especially important.
#1 Best Overall
Wachete can crawl linked pages as deep as the third level, but its FAQ warns that a crawl can find several hundred pages and may require a paid subscription. If you want to stay on Free, add a short list of specific pages instead of crawling the whole site. The five-page allowance is a monitoring list, not a small-site-wide crawl allowance. Wachete’s FAQ explains crawling and subpages.
How often does Wachete check a page for free?
Wachete’s official price-tracking page says the free plan checks once a day. That makes Free appropriate when detecting a change sometime within a day is acceptable, not when you need a prompt alert. The pricing page’s interval field currently displays “?”, so check the cadence shown in your account before building a workflow around it. Wachete says paid plans can check as often as every few minutes on its price-tracking page.
A daily check also means a change or outage can go unnoticed until the next scheduled check. If the timing matters, daily page monitoring should not be your only alerting method.

Not according to the current pricing page, which lists zero dynamic pages on Free. Wachete distinguishes static pages from pages whose content is generated with JavaScript. Many pages can be monitored in static mode, but content that appears only after scripts run may require a dynamic monitor.
- Add the target page and inspect Wachete’s preview.
- Check that the exact text or section you want to track is visible in that preview.
- If the target content is missing because the page renders it with JavaScript, treat it as a dynamic-page requirement; the free allowance does not include dynamic pages.
Wachete describes this distinction and its preview in its FAQ. Do not assume a page is suitable for static monitoring just because it opens normally in your browser.
What can Wachete monitor besides page changes?
Wachete’s feature and uptime pages describe selected-content tracking, notifications, availability checks, response-time monitoring, HTTPS certificate-expiry monitoring and history. The uptime page says paid plans can check within minutes; that is not evidence that Free offers minute-level uptime alerts. See Wachete’s features and uptime monitoring page for the service’s stated capabilities.
When should you choose a paid plan instead?
- You need to monitor more than five static pages.
- Your target content requires JavaScript rendering and therefore a dynamic monitor.
- You need checks more frequent than once a day, or alerts where a long detection delay is unacceptable.
- You want a broad crawl that may discover many linked pages rather than a short, manually selected list.
Plan details can change. Check Wachete’s current pricing page and the interval shown in your account before choosing a plan.
ScreenshotNeo is an alternative for capturing pages
Wachete monitors pages for changes over time; ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a replacement for ongoing change or uptime monitoring. If you need a clean, on-demand capture for a report or workflow, ScreenshotNeo is an alternative to try: it removes cookie banners, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture, and only clean shots are billed. Bot checks, blank pages and failed loads are not billed. It also provides an MCP server for AI agents.
For a one-call screenshot, use cURL:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request details. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for ScreenshotNeo’s free plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Wachete Free have a monthly check limit?
Wachete’s FAQ says it does not impose a monthly check cap; the plan still has limits on pages and checking frequency.
Can Wachete’s free plan alert me within minutes?
The official sources describe once-daily checks for Free. Wachete describes checks within minutes on paid plans, so Free should not be treated as a minute-level alert service.
