The Saucony Triumph 24 looks like a strong choice for runners who want a cushioned daily trainer for easy, steady and long runs—not a shoe built around speedwork. In Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 review, Nick Harris-Fry reported running about 40 miles in it over several weeks of marathon training, including easy runs, a progression run and a 15-mile long run. He judged its new midsole livelier than the Triumph 22 and 23, while retaining a balanced, traditional ride. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a guarantee of how it will feel for every runner.
What changed in the Triumph 24?
The main update, according to Tom’s Guide’s 2026 review, is the IncrediLUX midsole. It replaces the PWRRUN PB foam used in the Triumph 22 and 23. Reviewer Nick Harris-Fry found the new shoe livelier than those predecessors, but still a conventional cushioned daily trainer rather than a specialized speed shoe.
He described the ride as balanced, with enough energy return for easy and steady running. The distinction matters: “livelier” does not mean the shoe is necessarily light or quick enough to be a runner’s preferred choice for intervals or races.
What did the 40-mile review actually test?
Harris-Fry used the Triumph 24 for about 40 miles over a few weeks while marathon training. His reported sessions included easy runs, a progression run and a 15-mile long run. He favored it for easy, steady, recovery and long training runs, and did not consider it an ideal speedwork shoe. The mileage is a personal review sample, not a controlled durability test or evidence of how the shoe performs across a broad range of runners.

How is it built, and what are the specifications?
The review describes a mesh upper, padding at the tongue and collar, and an internal heel counter. XT-900 carbon rubber covers the forefoot and heel, while the midfoot is exposed. Harris-Fry reported no grip problems during his testing; that observation does not establish performance in every condition or long-term outsole durability.
| Specification | Reported figure | Basis and source |
|---|---|---|
| Heel / forefoot stack | 43 mm / 33 mm | Tom’s Guide review, 2026; also listed by The Size 15 Runner in its 2026 review. |
| Drop | 10 mm | Tom’s Guide review, 2026; also listed by The Size 15 Runner in its 2026 review. |
| Weight | 9.6 oz | Tom’s Guide reviewer’s US men’s size 10. |
| Reference weights | 8.8 oz men’s; 7.6 oz women’s | The Size 15 Runner’s 2026 review: men’s size 9 and women’s size 8, respectively. |
Because the published weights use different shoe sizes, they are not directly comparable. The review’s fit note is similarly personal: Harris-Fry said his usual running-shoe size worked for him. Treat that as an observation rather than a fit guarantee, especially if you need a particular width or have had sizing issues with Saucony shoes.

Who is the Triumph 24 best suited to?
- Consider it for: cushioned daily miles, easy and steady runs, recovery outings and long training runs, if you prefer a traditional balanced feel.
- Look elsewhere for a different feel: the Tom’s Guide reviewer characterized the Nike Vomero Plus as bouncier and the Hoka Clifton Pro as more smoothly rockered.
- Prioritize versatility: the reviewer described the ASICS Novablast 6 as lighter, cheaper and more versatile.
- Want more stability support: the reviewer pointed to the Saucony Hurricane 26 as the stability-oriented option.
These are the reviewer’s qualitative comparisons, not standardized test results. The useful question is which ride and intended use suit you: softer bounce, a rockered transition, a more versatile trainer, or a stability-oriented shoe. The cited review does not establish that the Triumph 24 suits every gait or foot shape, or that its cushioning prevents injury.

What did it cost at launch, and which versions are listed?
Tom’s Guide reported a June 2026 launch price of $170 in the United States and £170 in the United Kingdom, a $10 increase over the Triumph 23. Those are launch figures, not confirmed current prices. The review reported regular, wide and GTX versions, with colors and availability varying by version. Check a current product listing for your region and confirm the exact version, size and price before buying.
