Yes—the LG UN7300 is good enough for PS5 if you’re happy gaming at 4K and up to 60Hz. RTINGS describes its input lag in Game mode as extremely low, but the TV does not support HDMI 2.1 or VRR, so it cannot provide 4K/120Hz or variable-refresh gaming. Its modest HDR performance and weak contrast are also drawbacks, particularly in a dark room.
What PS5 gaming can you expect from the LG UN7300?
The UN7300 supports 4K gaming at up to 60Hz. That suits many PS5 games and players who do not need 120fps output. RTINGS’ review, updated in 2020 and retested in 2021, describes the TV as good for gaming overall and reports extremely low input lag in Game mode. The review page does not expose a numerical input-lag result, so a millisecond figure cannot be stated reliably. RTINGS’ LG UN7300 review covers several sizes and regional variants, so check the exact model suffix for your set.
4K at 60Hz works; 120Hz does not
The TV’s refresh-rate ceiling is 60Hz. Although 1080p/120Hz may appear as an available signal option, RTINGS reports that the UN7300 skips frames and causes flicker retention at that setting. It is not a usable 120Hz gaming mode. The review also says 1440p is not properly displayed.
For 4K/60Hz, RTINGS says to enable HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color for the HDMI port connected to the PS5. The exact menu path can vary by model and software version; look for that setting in the TV’s HDMI or picture settings.

What features are missing for PS5?
The UN7300 lacks HDMI 2.1 and variable refresh rate (VRR). As a result, it cannot deliver 4K/120Hz gaming or use VRR to adapt the screen’s refresh rate to a game’s output. If those features are important to you, the UN7300 is not a suitable match for that part of the PS5’s capabilities.
When comparing another screen for PS5, check its 4K refresh-rate ceiling, input lag in the picture mode you’ll use, HDMI 2.1 and VRR support, HDR brightness and color gamut, and contrast in the room where you play.

How good is HDR and dark-scene picture quality?
HDR is a significant compromise. RTINGS reports that the UN7300 lacks a wide color gamut and does not get noticeably brighter in HDR, so HDR content may not look substantially different from SDR. Low contrast and mediocre black uniformity can also make dark scenes look less convincing, and the TV has no local dimming.
The panel handles reflections well, but its limited brightness can still be a problem in a room with intense glare. For dark-room gaming, the contrast and black-uniformity limitations are more relevant than its reflection handling.

Which LG UN7300 model are you checking?
UN7300 suffixes, sizes, and regional variants differ, so don’t assume every model has identical documentation. For example, LG’s UK listing for the 55-inch 55UN73006LA identifies it as a 4K webOS 5.0 TV with HDMI 2.0 inputs. That is a specific UK model, not proof that every UN7300 variant has the same regional specification.
Before relying on a specification or buying a used or refurbished set, match the complete suffix, screen size, region, and condition to the TV in question. The tested family includes several sizes and regional models, so the exact suffix matters.
