For a live phone-camera stream while moving, IRL Pro is the closer fit; for desktop scenes, overlays, and encoding, OBS is the relevant workflow. They are not direct substitutes, and the available documentation does not establish whether any particular low-cost PC can run OBS continuously. First decide whether “24/7” means a live camera feed or a loop of prerecorded video: those need different setups.
IRL Pro vs OBS: which fits your stream?
IRL Pro is an Android mobile encoder that sends video to a stream key using RTMP or SRT. OBS is a desktop production and encoding workflow. The choice turns on the source and where encoding happens, not on a universal winner.

What “low-cost PC” leaves unanswered
Price alone cannot predict OBS performance. To judge a specific machine, identify its CPU, GPU and available hardware encoder, memory, operating system, video sources, scene complexity, resolution, and frame rate. The cited official materials do not give minimum OBS PC specifications or a benchmark for inexpensive PCs in India.

If the stream is live from a phone
IRL Pro is the more directly relevant option when the Android phone is the camera and you are transmitting while moving. Its guide says it uses one network connection, with no bonding. A plan bitrate cap does not mean your mobile connection can sustain that upload: coverage and available upload capacity matter, especially on a route.

- Choose the protocol: for a single-SIM street-level setup, the IRL Pro guide prefers SRT over RTMP. Treat this as the vendor’s guidance, not an independent test across Indian carriers.
- Start conservatively: the guide recommends beginning at half the plan cap, walking the usual route while testing, and increasing bitrate only if the stream remains stable.
- Check the real connection: test sustained upload at the intended output rate and time of day. A speed test is a snapshot, not a guarantee that coverage will hold throughout a moving stream.
- Plan for continuity: account for phone power and network availability for the intended duration. No cited source establishes that a particular phone or mobile plan will last 24 hours.
The IRL Pro guide’s plan table lists these caps and suggested outputs: Stream Key Lite, 9,000 kbps and 1080p30; Stream Key, 9,000 kbps and 1080p30; OBS Basic, 6,000 kbps and 720p30; OBS Standard, 6,000 kbps and 1080p30; OBS Pro, 10,000 kbps and 1080p60. If the stream is encoded on a PC with OBS
OBS is the relevant path when you need desktop scenes or other PC-based production. Before committing a low-cost machine to a continuous stream, test the exact sources and output settings; the available documentation does not support a blanket claim that a cheap PC will run it reliably.

- Confirm the machine and workload: record the CPU, graphics hardware and encoder, memory, operating system, number and type of sources, and intended resolution and frame rate. Without those details, PC suitability remains unknown.
- Enable YouTube Live in advance: first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Do not leave this until the planned start. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup.
- Connect OBS to YouTube: copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the key as a password; do not publish or share it. YouTube recommends RTMPS for secure ingest.
- Choose output settings against upload capacity: use YouTube’s guidance below as a starting point, then test sustained upload and stream health at the target time and location.
- Run a representative test: include audio and video movement similar to the real broadcast, then monitor YouTube stream health before relying on the setup.
- Check archive expectations: YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a single 24-hour broadcast will be automatically archived; check current YouTube guidance and plan separately if preserving the full broadcast matters.
YouTube encoder settings to check
YouTube’s published recommendations include these bitrate values. They are ingestion recommendations, not measured Indian-network results or guarantees that your connection will sustain them.

- Use constant bitrate (CBR).
- YouTube supports up to 60 fps. Its recommended keyframe interval is 2 seconds; do not exceed 4 seconds.
- Use AAC or MP3 audio.
- YouTube recommends RTMPS for secure ingest.
- Run a speed test, test with representative audio and movement, and monitor stream health. The settings are guidance, not a substitute for checking your own connection.

If “24/7” means looping prerecorded video
A prerecorded loop is not the same as a live IRL camera feed. YouTube Help lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded video that does not require a dedicated PC. That listing does not show that a cloud loop service replaces mobile live-camera capture. What to check before choosing in India
- Is this a live phone-camera broadcast, desktop-produced live stream, or prerecorded loop?
- For a PC, what are the exact CPU, graphics encoder, memory, operating system, sources, resolution, and frame rate?
- For mobile streaming, can your actual route and time-of-day connection sustain the target upload rate?
- Do you need an archive of a broadcast that runs 12 hours or longer?
- Have you checked YouTube’s current copyright and live-stream rules for every video, audio track, and other material you plan to broadcast? A stream key does not grant rights to content.
The available official sources do not establish Indian carrier upload measurements, mobile data prices, local PC prices, power reliability, or an India-specific IRL Pro-versus-OBS cost comparison. Avoid choosing on assumed local costs or an unverified PC benchmark.

Common problems and practical fixes
- Stream drops while walking: one connection does not provide bonding. Test the usual route, begin below the plan cap, and raise bitrate only after stable tests; coverage capacity is decisive.
- Upload looks adequate but stream health suffers: a brief speed test does not prove sustained upload. Test for the intended duration and monitor YouTube stream health with representative motion and audio.
- OBS performance is uncertain: “low-cost PC” is not enough to diagnose it. Check the actual CPU/GPU encoder, memory, OS, sources, and output target, then test that exact workload before a long broadcast.
- First live broadcast cannot start: first-time YouTube live activation may take up to 24 hours. Enable it ahead of the planned stream.
- A 24-hour stream is not fully archived as expected: automatic archive guidance applies to streams shorter than 12 hours. Consult current YouTube guidance and arrange a separate preservation plan for longer broadcasts.
