The iQOO Neo 10 is the stronger spec-sheet choice for its listed Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 platform, 144Hz display ceiling and 120W charging. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G counters with a slightly larger screen, a much larger stated battery and optical image stabilization (OIS) on its main camera. A definitive price difference is not established by the available listings, so check live prices for the same storage tier before choosing.

Performance: iQOO lists the stronger platform
The Neo 10’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is a higher-tier named platform than the Redmi’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 in these listings. That gives the iQOO the stronger spec-sheet case for demanding apps and gaming, but it does not establish a particular speed advantage: the sources do not provide a matched independent benchmark. Clock speeds listed by a comparison site are not a substitute for testing whole-device performance.

The Redmi screen is 0.05 inches larger diagonally, while the iQOO’s stated maximum refresh rate is 144Hz compared with 120Hz for the Redmi. Those figures describe different priorities: the larger Redmi panel may suit readers who want more screen area, while the higher iQOO ceiling may matter to users who value smoother supported motion. Actual refresh behavior depends on the content and settings.

Xiaomi also lists 12-bit color, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support on its India page. It advertises a 3500-nit peak brightness figure and attributes published display data to Xiaomi laboratory testing; treat that peak as a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified everyday brightness result. Battery and charging: capacity is not a runtime test
Xiaomi lists a typical 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, compared with iQOO’s typical 7000mAh battery. On stated capacity alone, the Redmi has the larger reserve. Xiaomi lists 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging; iQOO lists 120W charging. The higher iQOO wattage does not by itself prove a shorter full-charge time, and the capacity figures do not prove how long either phone lasts in a particular workload.

Xiaomi’s global product page promotes “up to 3 days of battery life” and attributes some battery results to Xiaomi Internal Labs, while warning that actual results may vary. Cameras: Redmi specifies OIS, but photos are untested head to head
Both India listings give the phones a 50MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 32MP front camera. Xiaomi specifies OIS for the Redmi’s main camera, a useful listed feature for reducing camera movement in supported shooting situations. Matching megapixel counts do not establish equal image quality, and no matched photo comparison is available in the cited sources.

Price and availability: no reliable like-for-like gap
The iQOO India store page displayed ₹40,999 for a Neo 10 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage when checked for this comparison. 91mobiles listed the Neo 10 at ₹32,990 as “Out of Stock,” and the Redmi at ₹44,999 as “Upcoming”; its page gave 15 September 2026 as the Redmi release date. These are conflicting retail and availability signals, not confirmed simultaneous offers for equivalent configurations. They do not support a definitive current price difference.
For a useful comparison, check both phones at the same retailer on the same day, match RAM and storage as closely as possible, and confirm that the exact SKU is in stock. The Redmi listing here has 256GB storage, while iQOO lists several storage tiers, so a price comparison across unmatched configurations can mislead. Xiaomi’s global page lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings and describes a TÜV SÜD test at 2 metres for 72 hours. It separately limits underwater mode to static freshwater at up to 2 metres for 30 minutes and says that mode does not extend the device’s water resistance.
