The iQOO 15R has the more powerful listed chipset, a faster AMOLED display and faster charging on paper; the Moto g max has a larger screen and a substantial battery. But a direct price difference cannot be calculated: iQOO’s India store lists the 8GB+256GB 15R at ₹53,999, while Motorola’s official specification page gives no Moto g max price and warns that specifications can vary by market.
Price difference: what can be verified
The iQOO India store displays ₹53,999 for the iQOO 15R 8GB+256GB 5G configuration. It also lists 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants; the cited listing does not establish their prices here. The displayed amount is a store price captured in 2026, not a guaranteed lasting price.
Motorola’s moto g max support specification does not state a price. Consequently, there is no supported same-country, like-for-like price difference to report. Check the current price for the exact Moto g max configuration in your market before deciding on value; do not infer a difference from prices in different countries or from unmatched storage tiers.

Performance, display and charging
The clearest paper advantage for the iQOO 15R is its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, compared with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 in Motorola’s support-page specification. That identifies the listed hardware, but it does not establish how either phone performs in sustained workloads, gaming or heat management; no matched benchmark or thermal test is available here.
The screen trade-off is more nuanced. iQOO lists a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel at 144Hz, while Motorola lists a larger 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD at 120Hz. The iQOO offers the higher listed resolution and refresh rate, along with AMOLED rather than LCD; the Moto gives more screen area. Which matters more depends on whether you prefer a larger panel or the iQOO’s specified display technology and figures.

Charging ratings favor iQOO on paper at 100W versus Motorola’s 30W TurboPower. Those ratings do not establish actual charging time, and bundled charger contents were not confirmed. The battery figures—7600mAh typical for iQOO and 7000mAh for Motorola—also do not predict runtime by themselves. No comparable battery test supports a claim about hours of use.
Cameras, memory and software
Both listed configurations have a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, but the sensors differ: Sony LYT-700V with OIS on iQOO and Sony LYTIA 600 on Motorola. Resolution and sensor names alone cannot establish which takes better photos. There is no matched camera test or set of independent image samples in the cited evidence.

The support-page Moto configuration has 6GB physical RAM and 128GB storage, versus the iQOO listing’s 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options. Motorola’s RAM Boost is virtual memory terminology; it is not equivalent to adding physical RAM. For software longevity, Motorola specifies 2 OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches for the support-page model. Confirm the applicable policy for the exact market SKU before purchase.
Why the Moto g max needs a market label
Motorola’s support page cautions that specifications can vary by market. Its listed configuration is Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. A separate Motorola Colombia product page promotes a moto g max with Dimensity 6400, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. These are different regional specifications, not components to combine into a single phone configuration. The Colombia page also does not establish an India price.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one makes more sense?
- Consider the iQOO 15R if the listed India configuration and price match what you can buy, and you prioritize its higher-tier listed chipset, 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, faster charging rating or larger memory and storage options.
- Consider the Moto g max if its verified local configuration suits you and a larger 6.72-inch screen is a priority. Its support-page specification also lists a 7000mAh battery, though capacity alone cannot establish longer runtime.
- Compare value only after confirming the Moto price. Use local prices for matching configurations, then weigh physical RAM and storage, display preferences, update policy, camera samples, network compatibility and durability requirements.
These are specification-based trade-offs, not a verdict from hands-on testing: no matched performance, battery, camera or durability results establish an overall winner.
