The iQOO 15 moves from the iQOO 12’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That is a newer processor generation and gives the iQOO 15 the specification advantage for buyers seeking the latest platform. It does not, by itself, prove a particular performance gain in a game or sustained workload. The available comparison does not provide a sufficiently documented, comparable benchmark to quantify one.

Which display is better?
The iQOO 15 has the larger, higher-resolution panel: 6.85 inches at 3168 × 1440, compared with 6.78 inches at 2800 × 1260 on the iQOO 12. Both are specified for refresh rates up to 144Hz. The resolution and size favor the iQOO 15 on paper; actual brightness figures should not be treated as directly comparable where manufacturers use different test definitions.
How do the cameras compare?
Both phones list 50MP main and ultrawide rear cameras, with a 3x periscope telephoto camera. The iQOO 12 specifies 64MP for that telephoto camera, while the iQOO 15 specifies 50MP. The iQOO 15 also lists a higher-resolution 32MP front camera versus 16MP on the iQOO 12. These resolutions do not establish which phone takes better photos: image processing, lens performance, and controlled sample comparisons matter, and no controlled head-to-head camera test is established here.
Battery capacity and charging: what changes?
The iQOO 15 lists a 7000mAh battery, 100W wired charging, and 40W wireless charging. The iQOO 12 lists a 5000mAh typical battery and 120W wired charging; wireless charging is not listed for it in the comparison. Thus, the iQOO 15 offers more listed capacity and wireless charging, while the iQOO 12 has the higher stated wired wattage. Capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish real-world runtime or charging time.

Protection and software details
iQOO’s India product page lists IP68 and IP69 for the iQOO 15; 91mobiles lists IP64 for the iQOO 12. Check the exact regional model before relying on a rating. An ingress-protection rating is not a promise that water damage is covered by warranty.
The India product pages show the iQOO 12 with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 and the iQOO 15 with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. These are the software versions shown on those pages, not a guarantee of the version currently installed on a particular handset or of future update duration. Check the current update policy and installed version for the exact variant before buying.
iQOO 12 5G vs iQOO 15 price in India
Prices and stock are snapshots, not guaranteed current offers. On October 7, 2026, the iQOO India E-Store displayed ₹85,999 for the iQOO 15 12GB/256GB configuration and an MRP of ₹92,999. On the same access date, 91mobiles displayed ₹44,999 for the iQOO 12 and marked it out of stock; it also showed ₹85,999 for the iQOO 15 via Amazon. The iQOO 12 figure is a comparison-site snapshot, not an active offer or official price. The iQOO India refurbished listing for the iQOO 12 12GB/256GB was unavailable at access; its displayed ₹59,999 was not a purchasable current offer. Confirm the live price, seller, condition, stock, and RAM/storage variant before comparing what you would actually pay.

Choose the iQOO 15 if
- You want the newer processor generation and the higher-resolution, slightly larger display.
- You value the larger listed battery capacity or want wireless charging.
- You want the higher protection rating shown on iQOO’s India page, after confirming the exact regional variant.
Consider the iQOO 12 5G if
- You specifically value its listed 64MP 3x periscope camera resolution or 120W wired charging specification.
- You can verify a reputable seller has the phone in stock, and can confirm the handset’s condition, exact variant, and current price.
The listed specifications make the iQOO 15 the straightforward newer-feature choice. Whether the iQOO 12 is a better-value purchase depends on a real, available offer; the out-of-stock comparison-site price is not enough to establish that.
