In the India price points available here, Apple’s iPhone 17 starts at ₹82,900, while vivo lists the X200 FE with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for ₹59,999. That is a ₹22,901 difference between the stated prices—not a like-for-like street-price comparison, since the figures refer to different price evidence and may change.
The choice is less about one phone winning every specification and more about priorities: iPhone 17 pairs Apple’s A19 chip with two 48MP rear cameras, while the X200 FE offers a dedicated 3× periscope telephoto camera and 90W charging. Neither manufacturer’s specifications alone prove which phone is faster, takes better photos, or lasts longer in real use.
How much more does the iPhone 17 cost in India?
Apple announced the iPhone 17 at a starting price of ₹82,900 in India in 2025. The vivo India Store lists the X200 FE at ₹59,999 for the 12GB+256GB configuration; this listed price was observed in 2026 and can change. Subtracting those amounts gives a ₹22,901 gap.

Do the displays look similar on paper?
Yes. Both are around 6.3 inches diagonally and list a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Apple specifies a 6.3-inch OLED panel at 2622×1206, while vivo lists a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED panel at 2640×1216. Those figures suggest broadly similar size and maximum refresh rate, but they do not settle questions such as brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility. Such comparisons require results gathered under the same test method.

Which camera setup better fits your photos?
iPhone 17: main and ultrawide coverage
Apple lists 48MP main and ultrawide rear cameras. Its 2× optical-quality telephoto option comes from the main camera rather than a separate telephoto module.
vivo X200 FE: a dedicated 3× periscope camera
vivo lists a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom. That gives the X200 FE a distinct hardware option for zoom framing.
Megapixel counts, camera count, and zoom specifications do not establish which phone produces better images. No comparable independent camera test is established by the cited specifications, so choose based on the lenses you expect to use rather than treating the numbers as a quality ranking.

What do battery capacity and charging figures tell you?
For the India model, vivo lists a 6500mAh typical battery and 90W FlashCharge. Battery capacity varies by market: vivo’s Europe page lists 6500mAh for Spain, Poland, and Italy, but 5300mAh for Austria and Germany Amazon. Confirm the locally sold version rather than assuming every X200 FE has the same battery.

vivo reports up to 25.44 hours of YouTube playback and 9.55 hours of gaming for the X200 FE on its India launch page. These are vivo’s own figures, subject to the usage and test-condition caveats on that page; they are not independent results or a direct comparison with iPhone 17.

The iPhone 17 uses Apple’s A19 platform, specified with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. The X200 FE uses MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, specified with an 8-core CPU and a 4nm process. Different chip designs and core counts cannot be converted into a reliable real-world speed ranking without comparable benchmark or use testing.

The listed software also differs: Apple identified iOS 26 for the iPhone 17 launch, while vivo’s specification page lists Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. Your familiarity with iOS or Android and the devices or services you already use may matter more than a specification-sheet comparison. What is included, and what do the water ratings mean?
The vivo India Store listing names a charger, cable, phone case, and applied protective film among the X200 FE’s in-box items. The cited Apple sources do not establish the iPhone 17 package contents, so check the current regional retail listing rather than assuming they match.
Apple specifies IP68 and says the iPhone 17 is rated for submersion up to 6 metres for up to 30 minutes under IEC 60529. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for the X200 FE. These are not identical test descriptions, and neither rating means a phone is protected from every kind of water exposure or damage. Follow the manufacturer’s care guidance.
