The iPhone 17 and OPPO Find X9 both offer 120Hz displays, but they take different approaches to cameras, charging and software. Apple announced the iPhone 17 at a U.S. starting price of $799 for 256GB; OPPO Singapore announced the Find X9 at S$1,299 for a limited 2025 pre-order window. Those figures are from different markets and dates, so they do not establish a meaningful current price difference.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not the results of controlled side-by-side tests. The brightness figures, in particular, are each company’s claims under its stated conditions and do not establish which screen is brighter in everyday use. Apple’s iPhone 17 announcement and OPPO’s Find X9 Series announcement provide the specifications.
How the camera systems differ
iPhone 17: two rear cameras and an optical-quality 2x mode
Apple lists two 48MP rear cameras: a Fusion Main with an optical-quality 2x telephoto mode and a Fusion Ultra Wide with macro capability. Its front camera supports Center Stage, photos up to 18MP and 4K60 Dolby Vision video.
Find X9: three 50MP rear cameras, including a periscope telephoto
OPPO lists separate main, autofocus ultra-wide/macro and periscope telephoto cameras, all at 50MP, plus a dedicated True Color sensor. OPPO also lists 4K120 Dolby Vision HDR recording on the main camera and LOG recording with ACES certification for the Find X9 series.

The hardware descriptions show a difference in camera layout and documented capture features; they do not demonstrate which phone takes better photos or video. Megapixel counts alone are not image-quality tests, and OPPO’s 200MP Hasselblad telephoto mentioned in its series announcement belongs to the Find X9 Pro, not the standard Find X9.
Battery capacity, endurance and charging
OPPO specifies a 7025mAh battery for Find X9, with 80W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. Apple does not provide an equivalent battery-capacity figure in the cited announcement; it claims up to 30 hours of video playback and up to 50% charge in 20 minutes when using an optional high-wattage adapter.

These measures answer different questions. Battery capacity and charging wattage do not by themselves establish real-world endurance or charging time in comparable conditions, and Apple’s stated playback time is not a controlled comparison with OPPO’s capacity rating.
What is the price difference?
There is no single defensible price difference without choosing a country, date, retailer and matching storage configuration. Apple announced a U.S. starting price of $799 for the iPhone 17 with 256GB in 2025. OPPO Singapore announced S$1,299 for Find X9 during its October 29–November 4, 2025 pre-order window. These are not same-market or same-date prices, and the OPPO figure is a historical launch campaign price, not a universal current price.

For a useful comparison, check the current price of each phone from retailers in the same country, then match storage, warranty coverage and SIM/network variant. The iPhone’s eSIM availability can depend on market; OPPO also says Find X9 configuration, price and availability vary by region. See Apple’s announcement and OPPO Singapore’s launch notice for the original price context.
