Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro launched in India at ₹1,34,900 for 256GB. It is also available in 512GB and 1TB configurations. Apple began availability on September 19, 2025; Reliance Digital reported the 256GB model’s MRP was still ₹1,34,900 on September 23, 2026, though retailer offers and checkout prices can vary.
What is the iPhone 17 Pro price in India?
Apple announced the iPhone 17 Pro at a starting price of ₹1,34,900 in India on September 9, 2025. That price is for the 256GB configuration. Apple also announced the iPhone 17 Pro Max at ₹1,49,900, but that is a separate, larger model. Apple’s launch announcement said availability began September 19, 2025.
Reliance Digital reported on September 23, 2026 that the 256GB model’s MRP remained ₹1,34,900. The retailer described lower effective prices only when eligible exchange and bank offers apply; the amount depends on the old device, its condition, the card and offer terms. Treat such discounts as conditional, not as the phone’s standard price.
A Gadgets 360 price comparison dated September 11, 2026 listed the 256GB Deep Blue model at ₹1,32,900 on Amazon. That is a dated, color-specific listing rather than a guaranteed current price. Check the retailer’s live listing for the exact capacity and color before buying.

Which storage options are available?
The iPhone 17 Pro comes in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations. Apple’s launch information and specifications list all three capacities. The Pro Max is a different size and offers a 2TB option; do not confuse that capacity with the standard Pro. Storage is built in, so choose based on how much space you need for apps, photos and video.

Specifications are from Apple’s technical specifications, except where noted. Apple describes the panel as 6.3 inches; its rounded-corner display measures 6.27 inches when measured as a standard rectangle.
How does the display and size compare with the Pro Max?
The iPhone 17 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and is physically larger. The bigger screen may suit people who prioritize viewing space; the smaller Pro is the more compact choice. Screen size alone does not establish which phone is easier for a particular person to handle.

Apple’s regional comparison lists the Pro’s dimensions as 71.9 × 150.0 × 8.75mm. Its US support specification lists the phone at 206g, while the regional page lists 204g. Because those official sources disagree, check the India-specific product listing rather than relying on either weight as definitive.
What can the camera system do?
Rear cameras and zoom
The three rear 48MP cameras cover main, ultra-wide and telephoto views. Apple specifies a 4x telephoto camera at 100mm and says it enables 12MP optical-quality 8x telephoto framing. Apple lists a 16x optical-quality zoom range and digital zoom up to 40x. These are framing and zoom specifications, not independent assessments of image quality.
Front camera and video formats
The 18MP Center Stage front camera has autofocus. Apple lists 4K Dolby Vision recording, ProRes up to 4K at 60 frames per second with external recording, ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2 and genlock support. These formats and features describe recording capabilities; they do not by themselves establish how the phone compares with a dedicated professional camera system.

What does Apple say about performance?
The A19 Pro platform pairs a 6-core CPU with a 6-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says the iPhone 17 Pro’s vapor-chamber cooling design supports up to 40 percent better sustained performance than the previous generation. That is Apple’s comparison, not an independent benchmark, and specifications alone do not predict performance in every workload.

How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?
Apple rates the phone for up to 33 hours of video playback and up to 30 hours of streamed video playback. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results; actual runtime varies with use and settings.
Apple’s fast-charge conditions are specific: the phone can reach up to 50 percent in 20 minutes with a 40W-or-higher USB-C power adapter and cable, or up to 50 percent in 30 minutes with a 30W-or-higher adapter and MagSafe Charger. Accessories are sold separately. The stated charging times are Apple specifications, not a guarantee for every charger, cable or usage condition.

What connectivity and SIM details should Indian buyers check?
Apple’s launch material identifies Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread through its N1 wireless networking chip. SIM configuration can vary by market: Apple’s US support specification describes dual eSIM and no physical SIM compatibility. That US-specific detail should not be assumed to describe every Indian unit. Before ordering, confirm the exact India SKU and that your carrier supports its SIM and eSIM setup.
Is the iPhone 17 Pro waterproof?
No phone should be treated as waterproof. Apple rates the iPhone 17 Pro IP68 under IEC 60529 and says it was tested in controlled conditions to a maximum depth of 6 metres for up to 30 minutes. Apple also warns that water resistance is not permanent and can decrease with normal wear; liquid damage is not covered by warranty.

Should you choose the iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max?
Choose between them mainly by size, storage needs and the specific claims verified for each model. The Pro has a 6.3-inch display and goes up to 1TB; the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and a 2TB option.
