Reports posted after installing iOS 26.3.1 describe slow or failed internet connections, battery drain and heat, sluggish or crashing apps, and scattered problems with Safari, SIM service, AirDrop, cameras, microphones, Bluetooth, NFC, and Screen Time. These are anecdotal reports, not confirmation that the update caused each symptom or that the issues are widespread.
What Apple says iOS 26.3.1 changes
Apple’s release note says iOS 26.3.1 “expands external display support to include Studio Display (2026) and Studio Display XDR on supported iPhones along with bug fixes.” The note does not name particular user complaints or say which bugs were fixed. Read Apple’s About iOS 26 Updates.
Problems users reported after installing iOS 26.3.1
A March 12, 2026 roundup by The Mac Observer collected posts from Reddit and Apple Support Communities. It describes reports from individual users, rather than a measured list of confirmed defects.

The examples above come from The Mac Observer’s March 12, 2026 roundup. The roundup also notes that some users reported a smooth update.

How widespread are the reported problems?
The available reports do not establish how many iPhones are affected. They provide no representative count or denominator, so they cannot show the likelihood of encountering a problem or support a reliable comparison between iPhone models. Treat them as examples of symptoms people described, not proof that iOS 26.3.1 caused them.
Do later iOS updates confirm that these problems were fixed?
No. Apple’s live update history lists releases newer than iOS 26.3.1. For example, Apple says iOS 26.6.2 fixes an issue that prevents downloading a software update over a cellular connection. That release note concerns downloading updates; it does not confirm that Apple fixed the separate connectivity, battery, app, or other complaints collected in the roundup. Check Apple’s current iOS update history for release notes, but do not assume a later version resolves every reported symptom.
