Intel announced the Arc Pro A60 in June 2023 as a professional desktop workstation GPU. It has 12GB of GDDR6 memory, a 130W board-power rating, and a single-slot slim-profile design. Intel lists July 2026 as its expected discontinuance date, but that lifecycle entry does not establish whether retailers still have stock.

What the Intel Arc Pro A60 is

The Arc Pro A60 is a desktop workstation graphics card in Intel’s Arc Pro A-series. Intel’s June 6, 2023 announcement introduced it alongside the mobile Arc Pro A60M. The desktop A60 has 12GB of GDDR6; the A60M has 8GB. Intel’s product specifications list Q2 2023 as the A60 launch period and July 2026 as its expected discontinuance date.

Discontinuance is a product-lifecycle specification, not proof that retail inventory has run out. Intel’s announcement said desktop availability through authorized distributors was expected in the weeks after launch; that dated statement does not confirm present-day availability.

Displays, codecs, and software APIs

Intel lists support for as many as four displays. Its product page specifies DisplayPort and HDMI output capabilities, but the actual display connections available on a particular card should be checked against the board and system documentation before planning a multi-monitor setup.

Intel lists hardware encode and decode support for H.264, HEVC/H.265, and AV1. Its listed graphics and compute interfaces include DirectX 12 Ultimate, Vulkan 1.3, OpenCL 3.0, OpenGL up to 4.6, oneAPI, and OpenVINO. These are vendor specifications: they describe supported capabilities, not measured speed or guaranteed behavior in a specific application, driver, or workflow.

What to check before choosing the A60

  • Workstation fit: Check case clearance for a 241 × 112mm card, single-slot installation space, and a compatible 6-pin power lead.
  • Memory needs: The desktop A60 is listed with 12GB; do not confuse it with the mobile A60M, which Intel lists with 8GB.
  • Application support: Confirm that your professional software and driver requirements align with the APIs and codecs listed by Intel.
  • Workload performance: Compare independently tested results for your actual applications. The listed specifications do not establish that the A60 is faster than another workstation GPU, and Intel’s datasheet cautions that its workflow guidance does not replace task-specific benchmarks.
  • Display setup: If using several monitors, verify the ports on the specific card and the resolution and refresh-rate requirements of each display.
