Event ke waqt Live Control Room mein preview jaanch kar Go live dabayein. YouTube schedules the event; OBS plays the files. The scheduled event itself is not the playlist player.
Yeh workflow kaise kaam karta hai
YouTube Studio par event schedule karne se watch page aur reminder option milta hai. Playlist ko playback ke liye alag encoder chahiye. Is workflow mein OBS Studio sends the video and audio from a VLC playlist of files stored on your computer to YouTube Live. The official OBS documentation describes a playlist of media files in its VLC Video source; the reviewed YouTube documentation does not establish a YouTube-hosted playlist URL as a direct playout input for an encoder. Use local files rather than assuming a YouTube playlist link can serve as the live input.
For a fixed bulletin sequence, turn shuffle off. To play the sequence again when it reaches the end, turn playlist looping on. That repeats the entire list; it does not make the scheduled YouTube event itself recur on a schedule.
Prepare the channel and bulletin files
Check live-stream access
YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the event day. Check access in YouTube Studio before announcing the broadcast. Confirm the files and rights
- Put the bulletin files in the intended broadcast order and keep them available locally throughout the stream.
- Check that the files play correctly, including their audio. Make sure your OBS scene and playlist are ready before the scheduled event.
- Confirm you have streaming rights for all footage, music, graphics, voice recordings, archive clips, and third-party segments. A bulletin being news-related does not itself grant permission to rebroadcast material it contains.
Schedule the YouTube event
- Open YouTube Studio, then choose Create → Go live → Manage → Schedule stream.
- Create a new event or reuse settings from an earlier stream. Set the event details and scheduled start time that you intend to announce.
- After scheduling, use the event’s watch page to promote it. Viewers can set a reminder for an upcoming stream. Check that the event is the one you intend OBS to feed before going live. YouTube stream settings
Build the OBS playlist
- Install VLC as well as OBS Studio. OBS’s VLC Video source requires VLC; for 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC. OBS Media Sources
- In your broadcast scene, add a VLC Video source.
- Add the local prerecorded bulletin files to the source playlist in the order they should play.
- Turn Shuffle Playlist off for a fixed running order. Turn Loop Playlist on if you want the sequence to start again after its last file. Shuffle and loop control different behavior.
- Preview the scene in OBS and verify that both picture and sound play. Check the sequence before connecting the event so you can fix missing files or incorrect ordering in time.
Connect OBS to the scheduled event
- Open the scheduled event in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and copy its stream URL and stream key.
- Enter the stream URL and key in OBS’s stream settings, following OBS’s encoder connection steps. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it, send it to viewers, or expose it in a recording or screenshot.
- Start the OBS stream so YouTube can receive the encoder feed. Wait for the event preview to appear in Live Control Room and confirm it shows the intended bulletin and audio.
- When the preview is correct, select Go live in Live Control Room to begin the scheduled broadcast. YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours ahead and starting it 15 minutes before the event to check the preview and playback. YouTube streaming tips
Starting OBS sends the feed to YouTube; the separate Go live action in Live Control Room starts the public event. Allow time for both actions and the preview check.
End the broadcast
When the bulletin is finished, select End Stream in Live Control Room and stop the encoder in OBS. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. If you need an archive, confirm it is available after the event rather than relying on the OBS playlist as your copy. YouTube encoder setup

Copyright and India-specific considerations
YouTube copyright checks apply to live video
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can trigger a warning, a placeholder in place of the stream, interruption, or termination. Even when you have licensed third-party material, the rights holder may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID. A claim may also appear on the archived stream after the broadcast. YouTube copyright guidance
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for rights and applicable territory requirements on the provider. They state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world,” in YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions.

Do not assume YouTube’s rules settle Indian regulatory questions
The YouTube help material cited here does not establish which licensing, registration, notification, or broadcast-permission requirements apply to a particular Indian news publisher or bulletin. When to use another setup
OBS and local files
For a creator with a computer available to run the broadcast, the OBS VLC Video playlist is a documented way to play local media files in sequence. The computer and encoder are part of this method; do not treat a scheduled event as a substitute for the player.

Dedicated hardware
YouTube’s encoder guide lists the AJA HELO Plus as a dedicated option and describes its optional PlayToStream feature as able to schedule and stream prerecorded media without a computer.
