Codex Reset Live is a small, unofficial website its maker, Jiangshan, says they built to make it easier to check public Codex reset signals. It collects recent signals, links to their original sources, keeps a reset history and can send new signals to Telegram. It cannot show your private account’s usage limit: for your personal reset time, check Settings → Usage in Codex.
What Codex Reset Live is meant to do
Jiangshan says they made the site after often checking X to find out whether Codex had reset. According to their account, Codex Reset Live gathers recent public reset signals, links each signal to its source, records reset times and history, and explains the different meanings of “reset.” It can also send new signals to Telegram. The maker describes the service as free and usable without signing up.
Those are the maker’s descriptions, not an independent verification of the live site or its signals. Jiangshan says the site is not affiliated with OpenAI. Treat it as an unofficial source for public reports, not as an OpenAI service or a way to inspect your account.
“Codex reset” can mean three different things
Before acting on a reset report, identify which kind of reset it refers to. Jiangshan notes that people use the same word for different events.

Your personal reset time
This is the account-specific timing for your own usage. To check it, open Codex and go to Settings → Usage, where the article directs users to look for their 5-hour or weekly reset time. The website cannot read that personal limit. Its local timer is manually set by the user and stays in the browser, according to Jiangshan.
A public or global reset
This means a public announcement or a confirmed reset that affects eligible users. Jiangshan says the site records the reported time and source. A public signal is not the same as a personal usage timer: it does not, by itself, tell you your account’s exact reset time or establish that every user is eligible.

A banked reset
Jiangshan describes a banked reset as a reset credit saved in an eligible account for use before it expires. It is distinct from a public or global reset; a banked reset does not mean everyone received a reset.
How to check your own Codex reset timing
- Open Codex and go to Settings → Usage.
- Look for the displayed 5-hour or weekly reset time that applies to your account.
- Use Codex Reset Live only for public reset signals and their linked sources; it cannot retrieve your personal usage limit.
Jiangshan puts the distinction plainly: “Other people screenshot cannot tell your exact time.” A public post or screenshot may help establish what was reported publicly, but it cannot substitute for the account-specific timing shown in your own settings.

How the site represents uncertain reports
Jiangshan says the site will not label an unconfirmed public reset “YES.” Instead, it may use labels such as NOT YET, PENDING REVIEW or UNKNOWN. The maker also cautions that past reset dates in the history are not a promise of the next exact date. These are the site’s stated practices; they do not independently establish how accurately the live site currently classifies reports.
Codex account settings and public reset signals can change. The available account of the site does not independently verify its current operation, signal accuracy or the current layout of Codex settings.
