Huawei’s China-market Mate 90 Pro Max pairs a 6.9-inch display advertised at up to 12,000 nits with a built-in 200MP telephoto camera. The headline brightness is a Huawei laboratory peak measured at 1% APL—not a sustained full-screen figure—and the one-inch sensor belongs to a separate Ruiying Z10 camera module, whose camera functions Huawei says require the Collector’s Edition.
What the Mate 90 Pro Max includes
Huawei’s China product page lists a four-camera rear system: a 50MP main camera, 40MP ultrawide, 200MP telephoto, and third-generation Red Maple primary-color camera. The telephoto is built into the phone; the separate Z10 module is an add-on, not a replacement name for that camera.
Huawei specifies approximately 4× optical zoom, 8× optical-quality zoom, and up to 100× digital zoom for the phone. The 200MP high-pixel mode is limited to the 4× focal length, according to Huawei’s product information. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent camera test results. What Huawei means by a 12,000-nit display
The 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED has FHD+ resolution of 2848 × 1320, an adaptive 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 300Hz touch sampling, according to Huawei. The 12,000-nit figure is explicitly a peak measurement at 1% APL from Huawei’s laboratory. Huawei also cautions that brightness varies with the environment. It should not be read as ordinary full-screen or sustained brightness; no independent lab measurement is established in the available sources.

The one-inch camera is a separate accessory
Huawei’s Ruiying Z10 is an optional camera module with a one-inch sensor, a stated 24–240mm focal range, 10× continuous optical zoom, and a maximum-aperture range of f/2.0–f/4.5. It is not built into the phone or included as standard. Huawei says the module’s camera functions require the Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition, so buyers should not assume that it works as a camera module with every version of the handset. Huawei lists a 6,800mAh typical battery capacity and 6,615mAh rated capacity, with maximum charging rates of 100W wired and 50W wireless. The maximum rates depend on compatible Huawei equipment and the conditions in Huawei’s specifications; they are not a guarantee that every charger or charging situation will reach those rates. The sources do not establish independent battery endurance results.
