There is no clear winner from the names alone: HP OmniBook 5 and Acer Swift Go 14 are families with different processors, screens, memory, storage, ports, and weights across configurations. Compare the exact regional SKU and its local price. In the examples documented here, Acer’s Swift Go 14 AI SFG14-75 offers a broad port selection and a 14-inch OLED option, while HP’s OmniBook 5 14-inch lineup spans Snapdragon models as well as newer Intel- and AMD-based versions.
What matters before comparing the two laptop names
Neither name identifies one fixed configuration. HP’s OmniBook 5 documentation covers releases on different processor platforms, while Acer’s SFG14-75 specifications vary by region. A listing’s full model or SKU is more useful than the family name: it lets you check that the processor, display, memory, storage, ports, and weight actually match the configuration you are considering.

The manufacturer examples below illustrate the differences, but they are not a same-market price comparison or independent matched-SKU test. Current local pricing, availability, and warranty terms are not established here.
- Check the exact display panel, resolution, brightness, and touch support; an OLED label by itself does not settle screen quality.
- Compare processor platform and memory for your workload, then confirm storage capacity.
- Check weight and the specific ports you need, including external-display connections.
- Compare battery results only when the exact models have been tested under the same workload and conditions.
How the documented configurations compare
| Configuration | Processor and display | Memory and storage | Battery, weight, and ports |
|---|---|---|---|
| HP OmniBook 5 14-he0000 series | Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 or Snapdragon X X1-26-100 options; 14-inch OLED option | Onboard memory; the cited HP battery-claim configuration has 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD | 59 Wh battery; starting weight 1.35 kg; two USB-C ports, USB-A, and audio. HP notes that specifications vary with configuration and region. |
| Acer Swift Go 14 AI SFG14-75-70BG, UK | Core Ultra 7 256V; 14-inch OLED, 1920×1200, 60 Hz | 16 GB RAM; 1 TB SSD | 65 Wh battery; approximately 1.24 kg; two USB-A, two USB4, HDMI, and microSD. |
| Acer Swift Go 14 AI SFG14-75-5511, Australia | Core Ultra 5 226V; 14-inch family configuration | 16 GB RAM; 512 GB SSD | 65 Wh battery; approximately 1.39 kg; two USB-C/USB4, two USB-A, HDMI, and microSD. |
These are examples, not interchangeable versions of one specification. In particular, the UK and Australian Acer listings differ in processor, storage, weight, and stated maximum battery runtime. HP’s 14-he0000 series is also not a stand-in for every OmniBook 5: HP documents other 14-inch OmniBook 5 families with Intel or AMD processors and different display and port options. Check the manufacturer’s HP OmniBook 5 specifications and Acer Swift Go 14 specifications for the exact regional model.

Which laptop has better battery life?
The available figures do not establish a battery-life winner. HP’s 2025 announcement says a particular OmniBook 5 14-inch configuration—Snapdragon X1-26-100, 16 GB RAM, non-touch 2K OLED, and 512 GB SSD—“may be able to achieve up to 34 hours of local video playback at 200 nits.” That is HP’s manufacturer claim for a specified configuration and test condition, not an independently verified result.
Acer lists maximum runtimes of up to 26 hours for UK SFG14-75-70BG and up to 16 hours for Australian SFG14-75-5511. Acer cautions that battery life varies by model and configuration, including display, processor, memory, software, settings, and operating conditions. These maximum-runtime entries are not a matched test against HP’s local-video figure, so they should not be ranked against it.
If endurance is decisive, look for independent reviews that test the exact retail SKUs with the same brightness and workload. Without that comparison, treat advertised runtimes as configuration-specific claims rather than a reliable prediction of everyday use.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the Acer when its exact listing fits your needs
The documented UK SFG14-75-70BG pairs a 1920×1200 OLED screen with 16 GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and a wide selection of ports, including USB4, HDMI, and microSD. It is a sensible candidate if that configuration is available locally at a better price than the HP alternative. Verify the local SKU: Acer’s Australian listing has a different processor, storage, weight, and runtime claim.
Choose the HP when its exact configuration is the better match
The 14-he0000 series is worth considering if its Snapdragon processor option, OLED configuration, onboard memory, and port selection suit your needs and its local price is competitive. But do not assume every OmniBook 5 listing has those specifications: HP also documents newer Intel- and AMD-based 14-inch family variants.
Make the final comparison on the listing, not the brand name
- Write down each laptop’s full SKU and region.
- Confirm the listed processor, screen details, memory, storage, weight, and ports against the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Compare local prices for those exact configurations, including the storage and memory you actually want.
- If battery life decides the purchase, compare independent tests of the exact SKUs under equivalent conditions rather than the manufacturers’ differently framed figures.
Without your region, budget, and exact listings, a universal value winner cannot be named. For these families, the better buy is whichever specific configuration gives you the screen, performance, capacity, and connections you need at the better local price.
