YouTube allocates revenue from Premium membership fees to creators based on how much Premium members watch their content. Keeping a livestream online for 24 hours does not guarantee a fixed Premium payment for each broadcast hour: YouTube has not published a per-hour rate or a 24/7-stream payout formula.
What determines Premium revenue from a livestream?
YouTube Help says that revenue from YouTube Premium membership fees is distributed to video creators based on how much members watch their content. In practical terms, the relevant activity is viewing by Premium members—not simply the time a stream remains live.
YouTube’s public guidance does not disclose the calculation inputs, a universal dollar-per-view or dollar-per-hour rate, or a formula specific to always-on livestreams. It also does not provide a public per-country formula or a creator-specific forecast. YouTube directs partners to the revenue-share terms in their agreements in Studio for details.

A live stream can be eligible for Watch Page Premium revenue, but eligibility is not the same as a guaranteed payment. YouTube’s monetization guidance says creators must accept the Watch Page Monetization Module to earn ad and YouTube Premium revenue on qualifying long-form or live-stream videos viewed on the Watch Page, or when embedded in the YouTube Video Player on other sites. The Premium guidance also says long-form creators accept that module and turn on Watch Page ads.

A 24/7 schedule only describes availability. It does not establish that Premium members watched during every hour, and it does not determine a fixed amount for those hours. For the current requirements and monetization controls, see YouTube Help’s monetization settings and YouTube Premium guidance.
Premium revenue is different from live-stream ad revenue
Premium allocation and advertising are separate monetization mechanisms. Premium revenue is allocated from membership fees based on member viewing. Live-stream ads may include pre-roll, display, and mid-roll ads, but YouTube says that ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. An available ad slot therefore does not establish that an ad ran, and ad delivery is not the formula for Premium revenue.

YouTube describes the live-stream ad options in its live-stream monetization guidance. Its guidance mentions automatic or manual mid-rolls; these ad controls do not determine the Premium fee allocation.

- Open YouTube Studio and go to Analytics. Select the Revenue tab and set the date range you want to examine.
- Review the available Watch Page revenue reporting. YouTube describes Watch Page ad revenue in Analytics as an aggregate that includes AdSense for YouTube, DoubleClick ads, and YouTube Premium for the selected date range and area.
- Use detailed reports if your account has access to them. YouTube says downloadable detailed reports are available to creators who have access; report labels and detail may change, so use the options currently shown in Studio.
YouTube’s instructions for checking revenue are in its revenue reporting help. The figures in your own reports are more useful than an assumed public rate, but the reported aggregate should not be treated as a published, universal Premium-per-hour formula.

Does keeping the stream online longer increase Premium earnings?
More availability can create more opportunity for viewing, but uptime alone is not evidence of Premium-member watch activity or a particular payout. YouTube’s public guidance does not support estimating Premium earnings by multiplying 24/7 broadcast hours by a fixed rate. The same limit applies to estimates based only on total views if they do not distinguish the relevant member viewing and applicable revenue terms.

Why there is no reliable public payout calculator
YouTube’s official material establishes the broad allocation principle—Premium-member viewing—but does not publish the inputs needed to calculate an individual livestream’s payout from its runtime, audience size, or country mix. Without channel-specific reporting and the applicable revenue-share terms, a numerical estimate would imply more precision than the public information supports.
