In the United States, WNBA League Pass is best for out-of-market games and replays, but it does not stream every game live. Local and national broadcast blackouts apply. Check the game’s listing on the official WNBA schedule and use the league’s blackout checker for your ZIP code before choosing a subscription.
How can I watch WNBA games?
Start with the specific matchup, not a streaming bundle. WNBA games are distributed across national broadcasters and streaming services, local outlets, and League Pass. The outlet can differ from one game to the next, so no single live-TV service is established as carrying every game.
- Find the game and its market. Open the WNBA schedule and check the listed broadcaster or streaming outlet for that matchup.
- Check League Pass availability. Use the WNBA’s ZIP-code blackout checker to see whether your location blocks the live League Pass stream.
- Confirm access to the listed outlet. Check the provider’s current channel lineup, streaming plan, and market availability for that exact game.
- Choose the subscription route. If you buy League Pass through Amazon Prime or Sling, you watch through that platform rather than signing in on WNBA.com or the WNBA app.
Which WNBA streaming option fits your needs?
| Option | Best fit | Main limitation | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| WNBA League Pass | Out-of-market live games, league coverage, and replays | US local and national live blackouts mean some games are not available live | Game listing and ZIP-code status on the WNBA blackout checker |
| National broadcast or streaming outlet | Watching a matchup listed on a national outlet | Games use different distributors; national games are blacked out live on US League Pass | The current schedule and access through the named provider |
| Local or regional outlet | Following a team’s locally distributed games | Availability depends on your market and local rights | The schedule and local listings |
| Live-TV streaming service | Viewers who want a bundle with particular broadcast channels | No universal bundle carrying every WNBA game is established | Channel lineup, local coverage, and the specific game |
| League Pass through Prime or Sling | Fans who prefer subscribing within those platforms | Viewing stays within the platform used to subscribe; availability varies by country and plan | Platform availability and where the account can play games |
What does WNBA League Pass include?
The WNBA describes League Pass as a live and on-demand service. Features include full-game replays, classic games, enhanced playback controls, up to three simultaneous devices, and selected Spanish-language feeds. The league lists web, mobile, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku support. Device and purchase options can vary by country. See the WNBA League Pass help page for current availability and terms.

Why aren’t games being televised?
Not every scheduled game is intended to be nationally televised. The WNBA FAQ explains that some games are not nationally televised, as is also the case in other sports with a similar number of games. A game may still be available through a local outlet or League Pass, subject to location and broadcast rights. Check the schedule rather than assuming that an unlisted national broadcast means the game is unavailable everywhere.

How League Pass blackouts work
United States
In the US, local and national rights determine whether a game is blacked out live on League Pass. National games carried by outlets named in the WNBA’s guidance—including ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney+, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, Peacock, USA Network, and Prime Video—are unavailable live on League Pass. Nationally blacked-out games become available on demand at 6 a.m. ET the following day. Locally blacked-out games become available shortly after the game ends. The outlet list may change; check the current blackout guidance for a specific matchup.
Canada
In Canada, games shown on TSN, SN, CTV, and CTV2 are blacked out live on League Pass and become available afterward. Check the WNBA’s blackout guidance for current details.

Check the league’s country availability information and local distribution options before subscribing.
Where can I buy League Pass, and where can I watch it?
Direct from the WNBA
The WNBA describes annual and monthly direct subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions renew every 30 days; annual subscriptions renew on the purchase anniversary unless cancelled. Prices, purchase options, and terms can change, so consult the official League Pass page rather than relying on an older quoted price.

The WNBA documents a US monthly League Pass subscription through Sling. It is accessed through Sling platforms, not the WNBA app or website. See the league’s Sling subscription information for current availability.
