To watch a particular WNBA game, check the official schedule first: where it airs depends on the matchup and your location. In the U.S., League Pass is useful for out-of-market games and replays, but national and local broadcast rights can block live access. Confirm the game’s listed broadcaster and check League Pass blackout restrictions for your ZIP code before subscribing. Viewers outside the U.S. should check their country’s schedule and rights separately.
Where to watch WNBA games in 2026
The WNBA’s 2026 schedule distributes games across broadcast networks and streaming services. The league announced 216 nationally distributed regular-season games out of 330 total regular-season games. No single listed partner carries every matchup, so use the game-level listing on the official WNBA schedule rather than assuming a service has a particular game.
| 2026 broadcaster or service | Games or allocation announced |
|---|---|
| ABC and ESPN | 30 games and tentpole events across Disney networks: 13 on ABC and 17 on ESPN. |
| NBC | 7 games. |
| Peacock and NBCSN | 15 games in the schedule summary. The announcement separately describes 12 Monday matchups and three weekend games on Peacock, plus every Finals game; check the listing for the specific matchup. |
| Prime Video | 30 regular-season games, plus the Commissioner’s Cup championship game. |
| CBS and Paramount+ | 20 broadcasts. |
| ION | 50 games. |
| USA Network | 48 games. |
| NBA TV | 15 games. |
These are the WNBA’s allocations for the 2026 season, not a permanent lineup. Local stations and regional sports networks may also carry games. The WNBA’s 2026 broadcast announcement provides the season overview; the live schedule is the better guide to an individual game.
When WNBA League Pass makes sense
League Pass is most useful if you want out-of-market live games, on-demand viewing, or archived games. It does not guarantee live access to every matchup: local and national broadcast rights can make games unavailable live in the U.S. and Canada. The season schedule describes the direct-to-consumer service as carrying select live games and next-day access to every matchup, but availability depends on market and listing.

How WNBA blackouts work
Blackouts reflect exclusive local and national broadcast rights. In the U.S., League Pass live exclusions include listed nationally televised games and locally televised games involving the viewer’s local WNBA team or teams. The WNBA Help Center’s blackout page, updated August 12, 2026, names ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney+, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, Peacock, USA Network, and Amazon Prime Video among national exclusions. The separate League Pass FAQ also lists CBS Sports Network and NBA TV, so do not treat either page’s list as exhaustive: check the game listing and blackout lookup for the current answer.
Blackout eligibility is based on your current location. The WNBA says it can determine location from your device’s IP address or enabled location services; in the U.S., a ZIP code identifies the local teams covered. Restrictions may change if you move, and provider or excluded-game lists can be updated. See the WNBA’s blackout guidance.

Check a game before you pay
- Find the matchup: Open the WNBA schedule and select the game to see its listed broadcaster or streaming service.
- Check your League Pass eligibility: Use the ZIP-code lookup on the WNBA packages page to see local restrictions for your U.S. location.
- Confirm the alternative: If League Pass is blocked, check the listed national provider, local station, or regional sports network and whether you have access to it.
For Canada, the WNBA blackout page names TSN, Sportsnet (SN), CTV, and CTV2 for nationally carried games. Canadian rights and replay availability differ from U.S. rules, so use the current Canadian game listing rather than applying U.S. guidance.
Overlapping games and ION
When Friday games overlap, the WNBA says one may air nationally on ION while another is distributed in local U.S. markets through an over-the-air station or selected pay-TV providers. That can explain why the schedule and a national ION broadcast appear to show different games. Check local listings and ION’s ZIP-code lookup and current platform list. An indoor digital TV antenna is useful only if the relevant local station carries the game and reception is available where you live; it does not bypass League Pass restrictions. The WNBA explains this scenario in its FAQ.

How to watch WNBA replays
Full-game replays and classic games require League Pass. Quick games and highlights are available to all fans. The WNBA says edited replays begin processing after the game and can take several hours to appear on a platform. Its replay instructions direct viewers to open a game from the app or website’s Games or Schedule view and choose the available watch option.

For nationally televised U.S. games, the WNBA lists full League Pass replays as available at 6:00 a.m. Eastern the following day. Replays of locally televised games are listed as available shortly after the game ends, though processing may take several hours.
Canadian replay timing
For nationally televised games blacked out on League Pass in Canada, the WNBA says replays become available shortly after the game concludes. Check the current Canadian schedule for the broadcaster and applicable availability.
Quick Recap
Choose the viewing option that fits your game
- Need to watch live? Use the schedule to identify the game’s broadcaster, then confirm that service is available to you and that League Pass does not black it out.
- Following a team outside your market? League Pass may provide live access, subject to national exclusions and market rules.
- Missed a game? Check whether a League Pass replay is available and account for the relevant market’s replay window and processing time.
- Considering an antenna? Verify the local station and reception first; an antenna only helps with a game actually carried over the air in your area.
