You can’t currently watch The Wolf of Wall Street on U.S. Netflix. Netflix’s title page says the film is unavailable in the viewer’s country, and a VPN is not a guaranteed workaround: Netflix says VPN users may only see titles it has worldwide licensing for. For a legal way to watch in the U.S., check current streaming, rental, purchase, or disc options.
Is The Wolf of Wall Street on Netflix in the US?
No. Netflix’s title page currently shows a regional unavailability message for U.S. viewers. Flixboss, a secondary Netflix catalog guide, reports that the film left U.S. Netflix on March 1, 2026; Netflix has not published that removal date itself.
The Netflix page identifies the movie as a 2013 R-rated comedy starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Margot Robbie. Its synopsis follows a stockbroker whose illicit excess draws the FBI’s attention.

There is no confirmed VPN location or provider that reliably unlocks this film for someone using Netflix in the United States. Netflix’s VPN guidance says, “With a VPN, you may only be shown TV shows and movies Netflix has worldwide licensing for, like Squid Games or Stranger Things.” That means a VPN does not guarantee access to a title licensed only in selected countries.

Netflix explains that availability can vary by country because titles are licensed for particular markets and sometimes for limited periods. A film appearing in another country’s catalog therefore does not mean it is available in the U.S. catalog, or that changing a connection’s apparent location will make it playable.
How to check whether Netflix is detecting a VPN
If Netflix is showing an unexpectedly limited catalog, its help page recommends checking the connection’s reported country. This can identify a VPN or similar routing issue; it will not establish that The Wolf of Wall Street is available in another catalog.

Why Netflix availability changes by country
Netflix says a title’s availability depends on licensing. Rights may be limited to certain countries or periods, so a movie can leave one country’s catalog while remaining available elsewhere. Netflix’s regional availability guidance explains these country and time differences; a third-party catalog listing should be treated as a snapshot rather than a permanent guarantee.
