In Australia, the legal free-to-air option is Nine, and the NRL also lists 9Now for online viewing. The 2026 NRL Grand Final is Sydney Roosters vs. Newcastle Knights at Accor Stadium on Sunday, 4 October, with kick-off at 7:30 p.m. AEDT. Outside Australia, availability and cost depend on your country; the official listings do not establish a free online stream worldwide.
Watch in Australia: Nine or 9Now
The NRL’s 2026 Grand Final week guide lists Nine and 9Now for Australian coverage. Its watch page identifies Nine as free-to-air and links to 9Now. For online viewing, check 9Now; for free-to-air television, tune to Nine.
The NRL pages identify 9Now as the online service, but do not specify whether this particular stream requires an account, which devices it supports, or whether access may be restricted in some circumstances. Check 9Now’s current stream details before kick-off.

The NRL says WatchNRL offers live and on-demand coverage outside Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Its ticket information page also promotes WatchNRL for live and on-demand games. The reviewed NRL pages do not say that WatchNRL is free or detail access terms for every country, so check the service for your location before relying on it.
Match time and venue
NRL.com’s team-list article, published 29 September 2026, identifies the fixture as “Roosters v Knights, Sunday 7.30pm AEDT at Accor Stadium.” That is 7:30 p.m. AEDT on Sunday, 4 October 2026. If you are watching elsewhere, convert the Australian kick-off to your local time rather than treating AEDT as your local time; the NRL page’s embedded fixture display may show a time in a different zone.
