When you’re away from home during the 2026 MLB postseason, first check the game’s network on MLB’s official schedule. In the United States, watching live through MLB.TV requires signing in with a participating pay-TV provider that carries that network. Wild Card games on NBC/Peacock are the key exception: they are not available live on MLB.TV.
Find the network for the game you want to watch
The broadcast network determines your viewing route. MLB’s 2026 schedule lists NBC/Peacock for the Wild Card Series, FOX for the ALDS and ALCS, TBS for the NLDS and NLCS, and FOX for the World Series. Check the schedule for the specific matchup, date, start time, and network, since assignments can change.
| 2026 postseason round | Network listed by MLB |
|---|---|
| Wild Card Series | NBC/Peacock |
| ALDS and ALCS | FOX |
| NLDS and NLCS | TBS |
| World Series | FOX |
For example, on October 4, 2026, MLB listed San Diego at Milwaukee at 4:00 p.m. ET on FOX and Atlanta at Los Angeles at 8:00 p.m. ET on TBS. Treat that as a dated example, not a continuing schedule.
Watching live in the United States
MLB says live postseason streaming through MLB.TV in the U.S. requires authentication with a participating pay-TV provider that carries the game’s network. MLB’s 2026 provider information lists participating providers, including Fubo, for FOX/FS1 and TBS. Confirm that your provider carries the particular network and is accepted for authentication; an MLB.TV subscription by itself does not meet the stated live-viewing requirement.
#1 Best Overall
- Watch in-game highlights (No blackout restrictions; no subscription required)
- Listen to Home, Away and Spanish-language (where available) radio broadcasts (MLB Audio subscription required)
- Live controls to pause and rewind live video
- Enhanced Gameday pitch-by-pitch features, including realistic ballpark renderings from all 30 MLB parks
- Breaking news, schedules, interactive rosters and player stats for every team
Wild Card games require a separate route
Wild Card broadcasts are on NBC/Peacock, and MLB states: “Postseason games broadcast by NBC/Peacock (Wild Card Series) are not available for live viewing on MLB.TV.” Arrange access to NBC/Peacock separately if you want to watch those games live; do not rely on MLB.TV authentication for them.
Watching while outside the United States
MLB’s 2026 schedule says postseason games are available live internationally except in Canada. Check the territory-specific availability before relying on MLB.TV. The official pages cited here do not identify a Canadian alternative, so they are not enough to recommend a particular service for viewers in Canada.

If live video is not available
- Full-game archive: MLB says full game archives become available 90 minutes after a game. This is delayed viewing, not a live stream.
- Live audio: MLB’s subscription information says MLB+ includes live postseason audio. Audio is a fallback, not live video.
