You can watch Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on Netflix, or watch it free on Rockstar Games’ official YouTube channel and GTA VI website. You do not need Netflix to view the extended footage. Rockstar lists the extended look separately from Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 on its official media page.
Watch the GTA 6 extended look on Netflix
- Open Netflix and search for Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, or go to its Netflix title page.
- Select the title to start watching. Netflix lists it as a 2026 title with a 27-minute runtime, available globally to Netflix subscribers.
Netflix Tudum lists subtitles in English, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Polish, French, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. Rockstar described the footage as “Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.”

Find GTA 6 Trailer 1 or Trailer 2
For the numbered trailers, open Rockstar’s GTA VI media page. It lists Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1, Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2, and An Extended Look, along with character clips, screenshots, and artwork. Choose the specific listing you want; the extended look is not the same listing as either numbered trailer.
When did the footage premiere?
Rockstar’s original announcement scheduled the Netflix premiere for 3 p.m. ET on August 27, 2026, followed by YouTube and the GTA VI site at 9 p.m. ET that day. Rockstar’s August 27 update confirmed the footage was then available on all three destinations. Those times describe the historical rollout, not a current viewing schedule.

Is Netflix required to watch GTA 6 footage?
No. Netflix is one way to watch the extended look, but Rockstar also hosts it on YouTube and the GTA VI website. Use Rockstar’s media page when you specifically want Trailer 1, Trailer 2, or other official promotional material.
