The right way to watch Formula 1 qualifying and races live depends on your country: broadcast rights, free coverage, streaming services and F1 TV availability differ by territory. Start with Formula 1’s official broadcast directory, then confirm that the listed local service carries the sessions you want. Formula 1 advises viewers to consult local listings for exact TV coverage.
Find the official broadcaster for your country
- Open Formula 1’s F1 Broadcast Information directory.
- Find your country or territory and note the broadcaster or service listed.
- Check that broadcaster’s current local listings for the next Grand Prix and the specific sessions you want to watch live.
The directory provides a starting point, not a guarantee that every service carries every session or offers the same free coverage. Rights can vary by country, event and session, so verify qualifying and the Grand Prix separately; check practice and Sprint coverage too if those matter to you.
Check whether F1 TV is available to you
F1 TV Pro offers live coverage only in selected countries, not worldwide. Check the F1 TV plans and availability for your location before subscribing. Formula 1 says the plan must be associated with the subscriber’s resident country and the country they are in at the time of subscription.

For 2026, Formula 1 announced that F1 TV would offer every Grand Prix, Sprint, qualifying and practice session live. That describes the season’s announced coverage; whether you can access it depends on your territory and eligible plan. Formula 1’s March 4, 2026 announcement also describes live coverage in 4K Ultra HD/HDR.

If more than one service is available, compare what each actually includes rather than assuming that coverage is the same across countries or providers.

Examples of country-specific rights
Formula 1’s directory lists different broadcasters in different territories. For example, its 2026 directory lists Apple TV in the USA, Sky Sports and Channel 4 in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and Fuji TV in Japan. These examples do not establish what is available in another country; use the directory entry for your own territory and confirm coverage with local listings.

- Japan: Formula 1 announced that Fuji TV would exclusively broadcast F1 from 2026 through 2030, including practice, qualifying, Sprint events and Grands Prix, on broadcast and digital channels.

Watch on a supported streaming device
For F1 TV streaming, Formula 1 lists web, iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, Roku and Chromecast among supported options. Check the current F1 TV device information for compatibility with your setup. A supported device—such as a Roku player—only provides a way to display a stream; it does not include broadcast rights, an F1 TV plan or access to a local broadcaster’s subscription.
