To verify your Call of Duty account email, sign in at Activision’s email-verification page, check that the displayed address is one you can access, select Send Verification Email, then open the message and follow its verification link. If the email is missing, check spam or use Resend Link.
Verify the email on your Activision account
- Go to callofduty.com/verify-email and sign in to your Activision account.
- Check the email address shown. Make sure you can open that mailbox before requesting a link.
- Select Send Verification Email.
- Open the message from Activision and select its verification link.
- If it is not in your inbox, check spam. Return to the verification page and select Resend Link if needed.
Why Activision asks you to verify your email
Activision uses email verification as a security check to confirm account ownership when you link accounts or change credentials. Some existing account holders may also be asked to verify before logging in or using games that require an Activision account. Activision says players who verify their email through their account are automatically enrolled in email two-factor authentication (2FA). See Activision’s email-verification guidance for current details.
If the verification email does not arrive
- Check spam and other filtered folders for a message from
activision.com. You can add that domain to your approved-sender list. - Use Resend Link on the verification page.
- If an email related to an account-change request is still missing after 24 hours, Activision advises repeating the request or logging in online or in game to trigger another email.
- If the message still does not arrive, contact Activision Support.
Verification messages are associated with specific account activity, such as linking accounts, changing personal information other than full name and home address, or certain login attempts. If the request was unexpected, review your account security rather than following a link without checking the context.

Verifying confirms access to the address already on the account. Changing that address is a separate process with additional checks. Activision says an account email can be updated only once every 12 months, and you must have Authenticator App or SMS 2FA enabled before attempting the change. Suspicious login activity or other abnormal account behavior may delay, restrict, or prevent an update.

Change the address if you can access the current mailbox
- In your Activision account management settings, select Edit beside Email Address.
- Request the one-time code sent to your current email address and enter it.
- Select Edit beside Email Address again, enter the new address, and save.
- Enter your Activision account password and save the change.
- Open the verification message sent to the new address and select Verify Your Email Address.
These steps and the once-every-12-month restriction are described in Activision’s account-management guidance. If you do not see an edit option, Activision says to contact support. Its current guidance also says you cannot change the address through account management if you no longer have access to the existing address or are enrolled in email 2FA.
If you have lost access to the mailbox
First contact your email provider to try to recover the mailbox. If the provider cannot restore access, contact Activision Support; privacy and security checks may prevent support from changing account details. Activision also describes using a linked platform account to sign in in some circumstances. Consult the email-verification help page and account-management guidance for the available options.

Respond to an unexpected account notification
- If you receive a notice that an account you do not recognize was linked, sign in, unlink that account, and update your password.
- If you receive a notice about an unrecognized login attempt, change your password immediately.
- If suspicious activity continues, submit an Activision Hacked Account Recovery request. The recovery flow separates hacked-account cases from ordinary account issues.

Current verification reward and 2FA details
Activision’s email-verification article, updated August 18, 2026, lists a promotion for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone: the Veiled Aurora Weapon Camo, usable on Black Ops 7 weapons in Black Ops 7 and Warzone modes, plus five hours each of Double Level XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP. Activision says rewards should appear the next time you log in after verification. If the game was already running, restart it; contact support if the rewards are still missing. The offer is time-sensitive, so check the live Activision article for availability before relying on it. Activision says previously verified email addresses do not need to be verified again for this reward; those rewards were automatically granted.

Activision’s 2FA guidance says 2FA is mandatory for accounts created after August 18, 2026, with new accounts enrolled in email 2FA by default. Account holders can enroll another method and set it as primary; Activision recommends an authenticator app. Email 2FA does not replace the SMS 2FA requirement for free-to-play PC accounts. For existing accounts, email 2FA enrollment occurs when verifying an email in order to make an account change. Policies can change, so consult Activision’s current support pages for the rules that apply to your account.
