Samsung Members brings Galaxy device checks, troubleshooting guidance, support contact options, community discussions, and regional benefits into one app. Use it to run diagnostics, report a problem, or find the next support step—but expect menus and available services to vary by country, device, and software version.
What Samsung Members can do
Samsung describes Samsung Members as a support app for Galaxy products. Depending on your region and device, it can provide:
- Device diagnostics and phone-care tools
- Official troubleshooting articles and support contact options
- A community where Galaxy users share questions, tips, and solutions
- Galaxy news, tips, campaigns, events, or other benefits
A Samsung account is required according to Samsung Japan Support. The app’s labels, layout, and menus can differ by device, Android and app version, and country; Samsung’s Canadian guide, for example, groups features under Community, News and tips, Benefits, Get help, FAQs, phone care, and feedback (Samsung Canada Support).
How to check your Galaxy device with diagnostics
Diagnostics let you test supported device functions from the app. Samsung’s Japan instructions use Diagnostics > Device diagnostics; its Canadian guide uses Get help > Diagnostics. Look under Support or Get help if your app does not show the same labels.

- Open Samsung Members and sign in to your Samsung account if prompted.
- Open Diagnostics, or go to Get help or Support and look for Diagnostics.
- Choose an individual test or, where offered, select Test all.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Some checks ask you to perform an action, such as turning on the flashlight or recording your voice.
- Review the results and use any suggested next step.
In the Canadian guide, a failed check is marked red, completed sections blue, and skipped or incomplete sections white. The precise tests, names, and result display depend on the device and software (Samsung Canada Support).
What a diagnostic result can—and cannot—tell you
A failed test can point to a function that needs attention, but a diagnostic is a first troubleshooting step, not a guarantee that Members can identify every fault or repair it. If the relevant problem is not covered, look for official instructions in Solutions, consult the Community, or use an available support contact route. Samsung recommends trying diagnostics before arranging a repair or contacting support for a device problem (Samsung Japan Support).

How to report an error to Samsung
If you encounter a software or device issue, Samsung Members may let you submit an error report with details and system log data. Samsung says logs can help it analyze the problem; its materials do not promise a diagnosis, response time, or fix for every report.
- In Samsung Members, open the error-reporting or support option. Menu names and placement vary.
- Choose the category that best matches the problem.
- When asked about system log data, choose whether to send it. Samsung Canada describes the choices as Always or Just this time.
- Add clear details about what happened and, if useful and available, attach a screenshot or video.
- Submit the report. Consider using Wi-Fi if sending logs or media could affect your mobile data plan.
Samsung Japan says users can submit a category and details with system logs, then receive a reply through Members after the cause has been identified (Samsung Japan Support; Samsung Japan Support). Samsung Canada also describes adding a screenshot or video and choosing whether to share logs (Samsung Canada Support). For a wearable-device problem, the Canadian guide directs users to submit the report through Galaxy Wearable.

How to find troubleshooting help or contact support
For a problem that needs more than a self-test, start with the official Solutions or FAQs area in Members. If that does not resolve it, use the support contact options shown in your local app or Samsung support site. Depending on location, those may include chat or text, a call, remote support, or a repair request; availability is regional, so check the options displayed for your country (Samsung Canada Support; Samsung Saudi Arabia).
- Use diagnostics when the app offers a test for the function that seems faulty.
- Use Solutions or FAQs when you want official self-service troubleshooting.
- Contact Samsung when the issue needs human help or the available self-service steps do not address it.
How to use Community, news, and benefits
Community
Community is a place for Galaxy users to ask questions and share tips, reviews, and solutions. It can be useful for practical ideas, but advice from other users is peer guidance—not an official Samsung support response. For manufacturer-provided instructions, use the Solutions area or contact Samsung support.

Why your Samsung Members app may look different
Samsung’s regional support guides document different paths to diagnostics, and some menus are unavailable in some countries. Labels and placement can also change with device, Android version, and app version. The paths in this guide reflect examples from Samsung Japan and Canada instructions current in 2026; treat your own app’s labels as authoritative if they differ.
