To use a Google One benefit, sign in to the Google Account with the membership, open Google One, select Benefits, and choose View details beside an available offer. Follow that offer’s instructions. On a computer, you can also select View history to review benefits you have already claimed. What appears depends on your plan and billing location, and some offers have family-sharing limits.
Find and claim a Google One benefit
- Sign in to the right account. Use the Google Account that holds the Google One membership; benefits are tied to membership eligibility.
- Open Google One. On a computer, open Google One and select Benefits in the left navigation. Google also says you can claim benefits in the Google One app.
- Open an offer. Find an available benefit and select View details. Read its terms and follow the redemption instructions shown.
- Check past claims. On the web, select View history. If there are no new offers, the Benefits page may show “All caught up.”
Google One members can contact support by opening Google One, selecting Help, then Contact us. Google lists chat, phone, and email as support options.

Why a benefit may not appear
Your plan or billing location is not eligible
Google says benefit availability depends on membership plan and current billing location. Available plans and offers vary by location, and changing billing location can affect eligibility. Check the signed-in account’s Benefits page and the plan details before upgrading for a specific offer.

A family member already redeemed a limited offer
Some offers are restricted to the plan manager; others say “Limit one per plan.” For a one-per-plan offer, the first family member to redeem it is the only one who can use that benefit. Ask the plan manager or other family members whether someone has already claimed it.

The benefit has feature-specific requirements
AI-related benefits may have separate age, location, platform, language, or account requirements. Google’s restrictions page lists rules for selected Gemini features, Google Flow, and Google Colab; check the requirements for the specific feature rather than assuming all Google One benefits follow the same rules. Google also cautions that experimental generative AI features may produce inaccurate or inappropriate responses that do not represent Google’s views.
What family members can share
Where family sharing is supported, a Google One plan can include up to five family members in addition to the manager, for six people total. The 30 GB Lite plan does not support family sharing. Family members must live in the same country as the manager.

Sharing a plan does not automatically share personal files. Google says, “Your files aren’t shared with the rest of your family, and they can’t access your files without your permission.” Shared storage is used after a member has used their personal storage allowance; family members can see how much shared storage each person uses. Some benefits remain available only to the plan manager.
Start or stop family sharing on Android
- Open the Google One app and go to Menu → Settings → Manage family settings.
- To share the membership, select Start sharing membership → Invite family, then follow the prompts.
- To stop sharing, return to Menu → Settings → Manage family settings and select Stop sharing.
Check offer terms before choosing a plan
Google’s plan overview lists consumer storage plans, including 100 GB and 200 GB tiers, as well as Google AI memberships with plan-dependent storage. Google says each account gets up to 15 GB at no charge, and changes to a storage limit can take up to 24 hours to apply. Plan names, availability, and terms can vary by location.

As listed on Google’s Benefits page, eligible 200 GB or 400 GB members may receive 3% back in Google Store credit, while eligible Google AI plans with 2 TB or more may receive 10% back. The listed offer is limited to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia; trial members and family group members are ineligible. Offers and terms can change, so check the account’s live Benefits page and the checkout calculation before relying on a particular promotion.
If a particular benefit is the reason you are considering a plan, verify that the benefit is available for your country, age group, account, and family role before comparing storage amounts. Compare the current total price and payment cadence shown during signup as well; the existence of a plan tier does not guarantee eligibility for every offer.
