To use GoDaddy Airo, first check the product name in your GoDaddy account: “Airo” can mean the domain-registration setup, Airo AI Builder, or another GoDaddy builder with different instructions. If you have Airo AI Builder, describe your project, refine and preview it, then publish. If you registered a new domain and see the original Airo setup, enter your business details, choose a coming-soon-page image, and publish that page.
First, identify which GoDaddy product you have
GoDaddy uses similar names for distinct products. Its product-comparison guidance distinguishes the original Airo domain-registration experience, Airo AI Builder, the classic Websites + Marketing Website Builder, GoDaddy AI Website Builder, and Airo for WordPress. The steps below cover the original domain-based Airo flow and Airo AI Builder; instructions for one should not be assumed to apply to another.
GoDaddy said its separate GoDaddy AI Website Builder was scheduled to be discontinued on July 31, 2026. That date has passed. Check the product label in your account and any migration notice before following older instructions for that builder; do not assume its former AI chat panel is still available. Choose the path that matches your starting point
- New GoDaddy domain and a business starter page: Follow the original Airo flow. It starts after domain registration and creates a publishable coming-soon page.
- A custom app or site from a written prompt: Follow Airo AI Builder. It supports chat, selection-based, and code editing.
- Another builder name in your account: Use the instructions for that exact product and its current plan rather than treating it as Airo AI Builder.
Use original Airo after registering a domain
This flow begins when you register a domain through GoDaddy and are prompted to set up a basic business presence. GoDaddy says the rollout may not yet be available in every region; its cited US help page says it is currently available in English. Check your account dashboard for current availability.

- Go to GoDaddy and register a domain.
- When prompted, enter your business name and business type.
- Choose a background image for the coming-soon page.
- Select Publish to put that page online.
- When you are ready for a fuller site, open the GoDaddy product page, expand Websites + Marketing, select Manage beside the site, and choose Edit Website. Customize the generated starter site and publish it when it is ready.
The initial result is a coming-soon page, not necessarily the finished website. GoDaddy’s documented flow allows you to customize the starter site afterward.

- Sign in to your GoDaddy account and open Airo AI Builder.
- Describe the app or site you want in the prompt box, then select Start building.
- Refine the project using the method that suits the change: chat with Airo, select parts of the preview and edit them, or edit the code directly.
- Select Preview and inspect the result. Use the device preview controls to check different screen sizes. Select View & Share to open or share the preview URL.
- When the project is ready, select Publish.
GoDaddy says Airo AI Builder provides free monthly AI credits; when they run out, further use may require waiting for the reset or purchasing credits. Its help page does not establish a credit quantity or price, so check the terms shown in your account. It also documents media management, version history, backups, database tools, credential secrets, and security analysis as advanced controls for projects that need them.

Airo AI Builder’s domain flow supports a domain already in your account, one you buy during setup, or one registered elsewhere. The exact DNS records depend on the project’s displayed setup instructions, so use those records rather than assuming a universal configuration.

- Open the project’s Domain control and follow the connect flow.
- Select the intended domain and check who manages its DNS. For a GoDaddy domain using GoDaddy nameservers, GoDaddy says it can update DNS automatically.
- If DNS is managed by an external provider, add the records displayed in the project at that provider. Do not change nameservers unless the displayed setup instructions require it.
- Allow time for the change to propagate. GoDaddy says DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to appear globally.
If the site is not available at the domain immediately, confirm that the records were entered with the DNS provider that actually controls the domain and allow for propagation. GoDaddy’s connection steps are in Connect a domain to Airo AI Builder.
Optional tools are separate from publishing a site
GoDaddy’s original Airo help describes optional tools for generating logo options, suggesting social handles, creating social-post text and images, and preparing email templates for welcoming subscribers, members, or customers. These are not prerequisites for creating a site. Automated email templates are disabled by default; users can edit and enable them. Microsoft 365 email setup is another optional service.

For US customers, GoDaddy also documents a route to register an LLC through ZenBusiness. That is a separate business-formation decision, not a website setup step; state or local filing fees may apply even when using a free starter plan.

Check the account before relying on migration or compliance features
GoDaddy’s Airo Plus documentation said that service was to be discontinued on September 30, 2026, a date that has also passed. It describes equivalents in Airo AI Builder for logo generation, campaign creation, and compliance-page drafting. Check your account for the current product and migration status rather than relying on an old Airo Plus workflow.

GoDaddy says its generated general privacy policy uses US-specific templates and does not cover GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or other regional privacy laws. Treat generated legal or compliance text as a draft requiring jurisdiction-specific review, not as confirmation that your site meets applicable legal requirements.
