Reach level 65, then speak with Blacksmith Togane in Hidden Mist Village to start the reported Forge quest, The Forge Above. Its objective is to open the Ouwigahara portal. After following the route there, use the Nichirin Forge for V2 weapon conversions—not the village workshop. Current community guides report a cost of one base weapon, 90,000 Ouwigahara points, 500 Metal Scraps, 10 Mythic Refinement Ore, and 300 Silk Thread per conversion. Check the selected weapon’s recipe in-game before spending anything; these details come from third-party guides, not official developer documentation.
What you need before starting
- Level 65: Current guides report this as the Forge quest’s level requirement. Reaching it makes the quest available; you still have to complete the quest. Slayer 2 Wiki’s Quest Guide lists the quest and level.
- Blacksmith Togane: Find him in Hidden Mist Village and choose the Forge-related dialogue option. One guide reports the option text as “Your other forge.” Slayers 2 Guide’s Ouwigahara guide reports the NPC and dialogue.
- A base weapon and crafting resources: The reported V2 recipe consumes the base weapon along with points and materials. Confirm the recipe for your chosen weapon in-game before you commit.
The level gate and route are guide-reported rather than confirmed by official patch notes, so follow the active quest text if it differs from these directions.
How to unlock the Forge
- Reach level 65. The level requirement is reported by current community guides.
- Go to Hidden Mist Village and speak with Blacksmith Togane. Select the Forge-related dialogue option.
- Accept “The Forge Above.” The reported objective is to open the Ouwigahara portal.
- Follow the quest route to the portal and enter. The guide describes a purple portal beyond the plains; use current in-game markers and quest text if map directions have changed.
- Locate the Nichirin Forge on the Ouwigahara route. Inspect the live recipe for the V2 weapon you intend to craft.
The quest name, portal objective, and route are described by Slayers 2 Guide; Slayer 2 Wiki also lists the quest giver and level.
Where to craft a V2 weapon
There are two different Forge interactions to keep straight. Togane’s workshop in Hidden Mist Village is part of unlocking the progression. V2 reforging is associated with the Nichirin Forge on the Ouwigahara route. Visiting Togane does not mean that V2 recipes are crafted at the village workshop. The distinction is described in the Slayers 2 Forge Guide.

Reported V2 weapon cost
A recent progression guide reports the following cost for one conversion:

These quantities are reported by Pro Game Guides’ Slayers 2 Slayer Progression Guide. Its figure of 90,000 points is a cost for each craft, not merely an account-wide unlock threshold. Recipes can change with game updates, so the selected weapon’s in-game recipe is the final check before farming or confirming a craft.

Check before confirming the craft
- Make sure the base weapon is the one you are willing to lose in its current form; the reported V2 conversion consumes it.
- Read the selected weapon’s live recipe at the Nichirin Forge rather than assuming every weapon has unchanged requirements.
- Use the quest’s current dialogue and markers if Togane’s wording or the route differs from community-guide descriptions.
