Fists of Fury is free DLC announced with patch 1.30 on October 1, 2026. Its questline is in the Horns of the South. The official announcement describes a mysterious hermit there who can challenge you and may take you on as a disciple; a reported walkthrough identifies the quest giver as Rupert in the Flooded Mine. The DLC adds a Strength skill tree, fist-focused gear, and a weapon category whose attacks still count as Unarmed.
How to start the Fists of Fury quest
Look for the questline in the Horns of the South. The official Fists of Fury announcement describes a mysterious hermit or traveler who can be challenged. A community walkthrough result for the quest, titled “Fists Of Fury,” names Rupert as the quest giver and places him in the Flooded Mine. If the area is accessible, follow quest journal markers for navigation; the available walkthrough does not establish exact route details or prerequisites.

- Continue through the tunnel and speak to Cairn the Empty-Handed. Cairn challenges you to a duel; the walkthrough says either winning or losing advances the quest and grants an item.
- At the Forgotten Cemetery, defeat a Lost Knight while unarmed.
- Return to the Flooded Mine and speak to Cairn.
- Pick Sage Plants and return to Cairn.
- Defeat a bear while unarmed.
The walkthrough result also mentions Ivory Hermit’s Garb, but does not establish the exact point at which it is awarded. The full route and additional reward details are not confirmed here.

What “using” a fist weapon means
Fistfighting Weapons are a distinct weapon category, but the developer says their attacks still count as Unarmed attacks. As a result, Unarmed bonuses from your talents and equipment continue to apply while you equip a fist weapon. You can build around the new weapons without giving up effects that specifically support unarmed combat.
The DLC also adds a dedicated Strength skill tree and seven fistfighting weapons, alongside unarmed armor and other items. The official announcement names these skills:

Choosing a fist weapon and supporting gear
The announcement describes several possible approaches, not one universally best weapon. Brawler’s Gloves are presented as an early way into the playstyle. Other weapon effects include stamina recovery or return, accumulating critical chance, and poison, chill, or burn application. Choose according to what your character needs rather than treating any one effect as a quest requirement.
