To turn on a Seiki TV, connect it to power, then press POWER on the remote or on the TV. If the remote is missing or unresponsive, use the set’s physical power control; its location varies by model. A first startup may open an on-screen Setup Wizard.
Turn on the TV with the remote
- Connect the TV’s power cord to a working outlet. After power is connected, the set may enter standby.
- Point the remote at the TV and press POWER. The Seiki SC-50UK700N manual says its remote POWER button turns the TV on or off: SC-50UK700N user manual.
- If this is the first startup, follow the on-screen Setup Wizard. The SE60GY05-related manual says the wizard appears when the set is turned on for the first time: SE60GY05-related manual.
Turn on the TV without the remote
Press the TV’s physical POWER control. Seiki’s SC-50UK700N manual identifies a POWER control on the main unit and says it switches the set between On and Standby. The exact location is not established for every Seiki model, so check the model number on the TV and consult its manual before looking for a specific button position.
If your original remote is missing or broken, use a replacement remote only after verifying compatibility with your exact Seiki model; universal compatibility is not established by the manuals cited here.
If the TV does not turn on
No response from either power button
- Check that the power cord is firmly connected to the TV and a working outlet. A lack of a power indication alone does not establish that the TV is defective.
- Try the physical POWER control on the TV if you have been using the remote.
- If the set seems frozen, the SE60GY05-related manual recommends unplugging the power cord for a few minutes, reconnecting it, and trying again.
The remote does not work
- Remove anything blocking the path between the remote and TV, and point the remote directly at the set.
- Check that the batteries are installed with the correct polarity.
- Try fresh batteries.

The TV still will not respond
Consult the manual for your exact model or contact qualified technical support. The cited manuals do not provide a basis for diagnosing an internal fault or attempting electrical repairs inside the TV.

Indicator behavior is model-specific. In the SE60GY05 manual, the standby indicator is red and turns blue when the TV powers on. Do not assume another Seiki model uses the same colors or behavior.
