Turn off the Galaxy A52 from the Quick panel
- Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to expand the Quick panel.
- Tap the power icon.
- Tap Power off.
- Confirm Power off if prompted. The phone will shut down rather than restart.
Turn it off with the hardware keys
Press and hold the Side key and Volume Down together until the power menu appears. Choose Power off, then confirm if prompted.
Why the Side key alone may not open the power menu
The Side key’s behavior can be customized, so holding it by itself may launch a different feature. Samsung describes the Galaxy A52 5G power button as customizable in its Galaxy A52 Series datasheet. If a long press does not show the power menu, use the Quick panel route instead.

Samsung’s Singapore Galaxy A52 5G support page lists an English Android 14 manual, version 1.0 dated March 5, 2024, and an Android 13 manual dated March 14, 2023. Those are the dates and versions of manuals listed on that regional page; they do not establish that every carrier or region has the same software. If the labels on your phone differ, consult the manual for your region and installed software version.
