To make thumbnails in bulk, first obtain image files you own or are permitted to use through a method allowed by the property portal; then batch-resize those files and export them. A batch image tool can process images you provide, but the sources here do not establish a general way to extract every image from an arbitrary listing webpage. Do not assume that an image being publicly visible means it is free to download or reuse.
Separate image acquisition from thumbnail creation
These are two different tasks: getting image files from a listing page, and resizing authorized files into thumbnails. The batch tools described below handle the second task. They do not establish a general listing-page extraction capability.
Before downloading or reusing any listing image, confirm that you own it or have permission and that the portal’s current terms allow the method you plan to use. Terms differ by portal. Magicbricks’ published terms prohibit automated software from extracting or downloading site data without prior written consent and restrict copying or using material posted by other users. Read the Magicbricks terms and relevant help material; do not treat Magicbricks’ policy as the policy of every Indian property portal.

Get permitted image files, then resize them as a batch
- Identify the portal and rights holder. Establish that you own the photos or have permission to download and reuse them.
- Check current rules. Review the portal’s terms and any permissions attached to your account or listing. For Magicbricks, automated extraction requires prior written consent under its published terms.
- Acquire the files through an allowed route. Use the portal’s permitted download or export feature if one is available to you, or request the files from the owner. The available sources do not establish a universal export method for arbitrary listing pages.
- Choose a batch processor and output target. Decide the thumbnail dimensions, image format, and whether the destination needs a specific crop. Preserve proportions unless you intentionally want a crop.
- Process and inspect. Add the authorized files, apply the resize settings, and export the results. Open several outputs to check dimensions, orientation, cropping, and readability before using the entire batch.

These are feature descriptions from the vendors, not independent test results. Compare their stated options with your destination requirements and privacy needs.

Choose dimensions and format for the destination
Use the thumbnail dimensions required by the site, app, or document where the images will appear. If there is no stated target, choose dimensions appropriate to the display size and avoid enlarging small source images unnecessarily. A preset can be convenient, but confirm that it matches your actual destination rather than assuming a real-estate preset is universally suitable.
- Preserve proportions to avoid stretching. Use a crop only when the destination’s layout requires a fixed aspect ratio.
- Check format support. JPG, PNG, or WebP availability depends on the selected tool and destination compatibility.
- Review quality and file size. Smaller dimensions usually reduce the thumbnail’s file size, but excessive compression can make text, interiors, or fine details hard to see.
- Check orientation and crop. Preview several outputs, especially portrait, landscape, and unusually framed source images.
Magicbricks’ help page states that its own upload process accepts JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG, with a maximum file size of 4 MB and minimum dimensions of 600 × 400 pixels. Those are requirements for that upload process—not thumbnail dimensions, a target for other portals, or permission to download images from public listings. Troubleshooting the thumbnail batch
- No images can be selected from the listing page: A processor that resizes uploaded files may not extract page images. Obtain the files through a route the portal permits, or request them from the rights holder.
- The output is stretched: Enable proportional resizing or use a crop that matches the destination ratio.
- Important parts of a room or property are cut off: Change the crop or use a fit/contain option if offered; inspect portrait and landscape images separately.
- The files do not upload to the destination: Check that destination’s accepted formats, dimensions, and file-size limits. Do not apply Magicbricks’ upload limits to another portal.
- A portal blocks automated access: Do not try to bypass the restriction. Check its current terms and seek written permission or an authorized download route.
