To track Super Thanks on a 24/7 YouTube stream, check the archived replay—not the broadcast while it is live. In YouTube Studio, open Analytics > Revenue > How you make money > Supers. If the report is filtered to Live, switch to Live & on demand or another revenue-capable report. The From Super Thanks filter in Comments helps locate purchaser comments, but it is not an earnings ledger.
Why Super Thanks earnings may not appear under Live
YouTube treats a live broadcast and its archived replay as different contexts. Super Thanks is unavailable while a stream or Premiere is live, but it may be enabled on an eligible archived long-form video afterwards. Viewers supporting the live session can use live features such as Super Chat or Super Stickers where available; Super Thanks applies to an eligible replay. See YouTube’s Super Thanks eligibility, availability, and policies and its live-stream monetization guidance.
There is also a reporting filter issue: YouTube says interaction and revenue reports are unavailable when filtering for Live. Change the filter to Live & on demand, or use a report that supports revenue. The distinction is especially important for a continuous stream: the broadcast and the resulting replay may not be represented as the same report item. See YouTube’s live-stream metrics guidance.
Track Super Thanks revenue in YouTube Studio
- Confirm channel access. In YouTube Studio, check Earn > Supers to see whether Super Thanks is available to the channel. Eligible creators must also meet the relevant requirements, including accepting the Commerce Product Module terms. YouTube’s instructions are in Turn on and manage Super Thanks.
- Wait for the broadcast to end and the archive to be available. Super Thanks eligibility applies to archived long-form videos, not the active live stream. YouTube says completed streams may appear as replays or highlights; check what Studio has actually created for your stream. See Learn about live streams.
- Check the replay’s eligibility and restrictions. In Studio, inspect the specific archived video. Private or unlisted videos, age-restricted or Made for Kids content, certain copyright-claimed videos, and videos with comments turned off are among the cases that can make Super Thanks unavailable. The full eligibility guidance is on YouTube’s policy page.
- Open the revenue breakdown. In YouTube Studio Analytics, select Revenue, then the How you make money card, then Supers. This is the specific Super Thanks revenue breakdown YouTube identifies.
- Adjust the content filter if the report is missing. If Analytics is set to Live and the revenue report is unavailable, select Live & on demand or switch to a report that supports revenue. When comparing results, check the replay’s video identity and allow for processing; do not assume the live broadcast and its replay appear as one item in every view.
- Find related comments separately. In Studio Comments, use the From Super Thanks filter to find comments associated with purchases. A purchaser can delete a comment, so this view may not show every purchase and should not be used as the complete earnings total.
How to interpret the reported amount
YouTube’s current Help guidance, checked in 2026, says creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google. The calculation is after taxes and fees, including applicable iOS App Store fees; YouTube currently covers transaction costs such as credit-card fees. This is not a promise that 70% of the viewer’s displayed purchase price will equal a particular Analytics amount. Details are in YouTube’s Super Thanks management guidance.

What to check when no Super Thanks appear
- The stream is still live: Super Thanks is not available during the live broadcast. Check again on the archived long-form replay after it is available.
- The Analytics filter is Live: change it to Live & on demand or choose a revenue-capable report.
- The channel has no Supers access: review Earn > Supers and complete applicable Commerce Product Module requirements.
- The replay is restricted or ineligible: review its visibility, audience designation, age restriction, copyright status, and comment settings against YouTube’s eligibility rules.
- You are relying on comments to count earnings: use the Analytics Supers breakdown for revenue; the Comments filter can help identify purchasers but deleted comments may be absent.
- You cannot find a single replay for a continuous broadcast: YouTube’s general guidance does not promise how every 24/7 stream will be archived or segmented. Check the archive configuration and the actual replay or highlights shown in Studio; assess eligibility for each resulting video.
