YouTube Studio does not document a built-in “Super Chat revenue per viewer” metric. To calculate one, divide the livestream’s reported Supers revenue by its unique viewers for the same video and date range. Treat the result as an estimated aggregate—not an amount paid by, or attributed to, each individual viewer.
Calculate Supers revenue per unique viewer
Use this formula:
Estimated Supers revenue per unique viewer = the livestream’s Supers revenue ÷ the livestream’s unique viewers
For example, take the Supers revenue shown for your stream and divide it by that stream’s unique-viewer figure for the matching period. Use your actual Studio figures; there is no universal benchmark value for this ratio.

- Find Supers revenue. In YouTube Studio, open Analytics > Revenue > How you make money. Identify the Supers revenue for the relevant livestream and reporting dates. For purchase-level information, open Earn > Supers > See all. YouTube says this Studio purchase view covers Super Chat and Super Sticker purchases from the past 30 days. - Find unique viewers. Open the livestream’s analytics, choose Advanced mode, and select the same video and date range. Use the Unique viewers figure. YouTube describes this as an estimate of viewers in the selected period; its estimate accounts for repeat viewing across devices. YouTube Help: Understand your YouTube audience
- Divide the Supers revenue by unique viewers. Keep the Studio-reported amount and the unique-viewer count tied to the same stream and dates.
- Record the calculation. Note the video or stream, date range, numerator, denominator, currency, and whether the numerator is the Studio-reported Supers revenue. This makes later comparisons interpretable.
Choose the right revenue figure and denominator
Use Supers revenue, not total revenue or RPM
The numerator should be the Supers figure in Revenue > How you make money. Total estimated revenue includes multiple revenue types, and RPM can combine sources such as ads, memberships, Premium, Super Chat, and Stickers. Neither isolates Super Chat or Supers on its own. YouTube’s Supers guidance says creators receive 70% of Supers revenue confirmed by Google, calculated after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees are deducted; YouTube currently covers transaction costs including credit-card fees. For this ratio, use the amount actually shown in the Studio Supers report. Do not multiply that reported figure by 70% again. The reviewed Help page does not state a publication year for this share. Unique viewers is the best fit for “per viewer”
Unique viewers is an estimate of distinct viewers for the selected video and period, not a literal list of identified people or a transaction-to-viewer attribution report. The reviewed YouTube guidance does not describe a way to match a purchase to a particular viewer. YouTube says unique-viewer totals are available for periods up to 90 days. The separate 30-day period stated for the Supers purchase view is not the retention period for the unique-viewer metric.

Label alternatives accurately
- Views: Counts times a video was played, not people. If unique viewers are unavailable, you can calculate Supers revenue per view, but call it that—not revenue per viewer.
- Average concurrent viewers: The average simultaneous audience during the stream. A ratio using it is revenue per average concurrent viewer, not per unique viewer.
- Peak concurrent viewers: The largest simultaneous audience during the stream. A ratio using it is revenue per peak concurrent viewer, not per unique viewer.

Compare streams consistently
For a useful comparison, make the numerator, denominator, video scope, dates, and currency consistent. Record whether you used Supers-only revenue or a broader revenue figure, whether the denominator is unique viewers or another audience measure, and whether you used the Studio-reported creator-facing amount. Platform estimates and purchase adjustments can change the result.

Live-stream analytics are available at video level, and some metrics may appear within minutes after a stream ends. YouTube says analytics are based on Video ID and processed to remove spam, so they may differ from Live Control Room data. Its live-report guide also says interaction and revenue reports are unavailable when filtering by “Live” in that report; use the separate Revenue route for Supers revenue instead. Handle Studio label changes
YouTube says it is gradually rolling out an updated Studio Analytics experience beginning July 2026. Menus may look different depending on account and rollout. If the labels differ, locate Supers in Studio’s Analytics revenue reporting and unique viewers in the selected video’s Advanced mode analytics.
