To track a price, start with the exact product listing and the store where you plan to buy it. Choose a tracker that supports that store and your country, set a target price or price-drop alert, then check the product’s price history and verify the live offer—including seller, shipping, coupons, and variant—before purchasing.
Choose a tracker that covers the store and product
Price alerts work only when a service can identify the listing you want to monitor. Amazon has price history on product pages and shopping features through Alexa; third-party options include Keepa and CamelCamelCamel for Amazon, while Chrome Shopping Insights can cover products across the web in supported countries.

These options overlap, but they are not interchangeable: check retailer and country support, the exact product variant, chart availability, alert delivery method, and account or browser-setting requirements. Set an alert for a price worth paying
A “sale” label alone does not say whether the price suits your budget. If the service supports it, set a target amount you would actually pay. Amazon says Alexa for Shopping can alert you when an item reaches a target price and can provide deal alerts based on a product need. Amazon also describes an optional auto-buy feature; treat that as a feature to review carefully, not a reason to skip checking the purchase details.

For an Amazon listing
- Open the exact product page, including the model, capacity, color, or other variant you want.
- Use Amazon’s available price-history view, Alexa for Shopping, Keepa, or CamelCamelCamel to monitor that listing.
- Choose a target price or price-drop alert. In CamelCamelCamel, select the Amazon/New/Used price type that matches the offer you intend to buy.
- If using CamelCamelCamel without registering, save the alert email or link so you can manage the watch later.
For Chrome Shopping Insights
- In Chrome, open the product page and use the available price-tracking control.
- Meet Google’s stated requirements: sign in to Chrome with a Google Account, enable tab/history sync, and turn on “Make searches and browsing better.”
- Adjust price-tracking notifications in Chrome settings if you want alerts delivered. Monitoring and notification delivery are separate: a product can remain tracked while notifications are off.
Google’s cited instructions describe Android. If the controls differ on your device, consult the Chrome help page linked above and confirm that tracking is available in your country.

A history chart or range can put today’s listed price in context, but it does not prove that the offer is the best available. The documented features do not establish that every seller, coupon, shipping charge, or product variant is included in a chart.
