For automatic notifications, independent trackers such as Warehouse Runner and CostClubWeekly advertise alert features—but confirm any alert with Costco, because channel, location, and eligibility matter. In the U.S., an eligible Costco.com purchase may qualify for a price adjustment if its price falls within 30 days; for a warehouse purchase, ask at the Returns counter of the warehouse where you bought it.
How to check Costco prices with official tools
Start with Costco’s own app or website: they are the authoritative places to check Costco promotions and submit a qualifying adjustment request. For warehouse items, select the location where you plan to shop before checking inventory.
Check a warehouse item
- Open the Costco app and choose the relevant warehouse.
- Look up the item by name or item number using the warehouse inventory lookup.
- Review the listed price and availability, then confirm with the warehouse if the decision depends on an exact price or stock status.
Costco says inventory lookup results can include price and availability, but the information may be delayed by up to 30 minutes and can change. Items marked out of stock may not appear. Costco describes its warehouse experience this way: “In our treasure hunt atmosphere, inventory can change quickly.” The lookup is a snapshot, not a reservation or guarantee. Check online promotions
Browse the Savings or promotions area in the Costco app or on Costco.com, and consider signing up for Costco promotional emails if you want deal announcements. These are ways to discover current offers, not documented item-specific price-drop notifications. App labels and navigation can change, so use the current app interface.

Does Costco send price-drop alerts?
Costco’s official app information reviewed describes promotions, savings, and email sign-up, but does not document a watchlist notification that tracks a chosen item and alerts you when its price changes. Do not assume that adding an item to a list—or subscribing to promotional emails—will produce an alert for that item.
If you want a notification rather than checking repeatedly, third-party services advertise tracking features. Their claims are made by the services themselves; the information available here does not independently establish alert accuracy, complete warehouse coverage, or the user experience.
Third-party Costco price trackers
These services may help surface deals or keep a price history, but they are independent of Costco. Check current supported locations, platform, pricing, privacy terms, and whether the tracker follows the exact item and purchase channel you care about before relying on it.

An alert is a lead to verify, not proof of a current price or an entitlement to money back. Check the item, selected warehouse or online listing, active sale dates, and Costco’s current adjustment terms.
How to verify a price drop and request an adjustment
Costco’s U.S. rules distinguish online purchases from warehouse purchases. A lower price at a different channel or retailer does not qualify as a Costco price adjustment: Costco says it does not match Costco.com prices to warehouse prices or match other retailers. Warehouse prices can differ by location, and online prices may differ because of factors such as shipping and handling or warehouse-only promotions. For a Costco.com purchase
- Confirm the alert refers to the same item and that the lower price is on Costco.com, not only at a warehouse.
- Check that the price reduction is within 30 days of the purchase date and, for an offer with specified sale dates, that the request is made while the promotion is active.
- Submit Costco’s online price-adjustment request using the current instructions on its price adjustment page.
Qualifying non-resale purchases may be eligible, subject to exclusions and Costco’s discretion. Costco says approved online credits typically take 5 to 10 business days to reach the original payment method; that is a typical processing time, not a guarantee.

For a warehouse purchase
Confirm the lower price applies at the same warehouse where you bought the item, then ask at that warehouse’s Returns counter. A price found at another location or online does not establish that the purchasing warehouse has the same price.

- Different channel: The alert is for Costco.com while the purchase was at a warehouse, or vice versa.
- Different location: Another warehouse has a different price or availability. Select the intended warehouse and confirm its current price.
- Stale lookup: Inventory and price information can be delayed by up to 30 minutes and can change. Check again or contact the warehouse.
- Sale dates or timing: The request falls outside the 30-day window, or a promotion-specific deadline has passed. Costco may deny a request submitted after the offer ends.
- Policy exclusion or discretion: Not every product or purchase qualifies, even when a tracker reports a drop. Check Costco’s live terms for the transaction.
- Tracker coverage: The service may not track the desired item, warehouse, or platform. Confirm its current capabilities and verify the price directly with Costco.
