Use the Best Buy app and deal emails to spot general promotions, but do not count on a guaranteed alert for an individual item. If you already bought something and Best Buy’s price falls, check the order and request a price match during the applicable return and exchange period—if the item and offer meet Best Buy’s rules.
How do I track Best Buy prices?
For general deal monitoring, use Best Buy’s app and its deal emails. Best Buy’s official Google Play app listing advertises deal finders, Deal of the Day, and real-time notifications about shopping deals. Best Buy’s Deal of the Day FAQ also points shoppers to the app and explains that deal emails can be unsubscribed from using the link in the email footer.
These are ways to discover promotions, not a confirmed per-item tracking system. The official pages checked do not promise an alert for every saved product or describe a universal Best Buy product watchlist. Turn on relevant app notifications and keep deal emails if useful, then check the item’s current price yourself.

| Route | Scope and timing | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Best Buy app notifications | General shopping deals and deal discovery; notifications arrive as push alerts. | Use them to notice promotions, then verify the exact item and terms. |
| Deal of the Day email | Deal promotions delivered by email; timing depends on when Best Buy sends the email. | Check the offer page while the deal is live. Unsubscribe through the email footer if you no longer want these messages. |
| Order Details after purchase | An order-specific, customer-initiated price-match check—not an alert. | Open the order and select “See details” to check whether a request may be available. |
Does Best Buy send price drop alerts?
Best Buy advertises general deal notifications in its app, but the available official information does not establish guaranteed price-drop alerts for an individual product or every account and app version. Treat app notifications and deal emails as helpful discovery channels, not a promise that Best Buy will notify you when a particular item gets cheaper.

- Four Tags for Everyday Essentials — Keep track of keys, bags, backpacks and luggage with a four-pack of FancyDove tracker tags. Attach one to each item and give it a clear name in Find My.
- Works with Apple Find My — Add each tag to the Items tab in Apple's Find My app on a compatible iPhone or iPad. Designed for Apple devices; Android pairing is not supported.
- Ring Nearby, Locate on the Map — Play a sound when your tag is within Bluetooth range. Away from you, the Find My network can help report its location when detected by a nearby participating Apple device. Location updates depend on network availability.
- Help When an Item Goes Missing — Enable supported left-behind notifications in Find My and use Lost Mode for a missing item. This is an item finder, not a real-time GPS tracker; alerts and location updates are not guaranteed to be immediate.
- Replaceable Battery, Simple Setup — Powered by a replaceable CR2032 battery. Follow the included instructions to activate each tag, choose Add Other Item in Find My, and assign an item name. Check the device requirements before pairing.
The Google Play listing for Best Buy’s app was updated May 26, 2026. Features and notification behavior can change, so check the listing and your app’s current notification settings. A deal alert also does not determine whether a post-purchase adjustment is eligible.
Will Best Buy refund the difference if the price drops after I buy?
Best Buy’s U.S. Price Match Guarantee says: “If we lower our in-store, online or app price during the return and exchange period, we will match our lower price, upon request.” The policy page is effective September 2, 2026. That means a lower Best Buy price may qualify if you ask during the applicable period and the policy’s other criteria are satisfied; it is not an automatic refund for every purchase.

How do I request a Best Buy price adjustment?
Online order
- Sign in to the Best Buy account used for the purchase and open the order.
- In Order Details, select “See details” to check price-match availability.
- If eligible, contact Best Buy through online chat or call 1-888-237-8289. The person who purchased the product must make an online chat request.
- Keep the item and order information available and explain which lower Best Buy price you want reviewed.
Best Buy says online requests cannot be processed in stores or by email. For a price drop before scheduled delivery, call as directed by Best Buy rather than assuming the Order Details request route handles it.
Store purchase
- Take the purchase information to a Customer Specialist or the Customer Service desk.
- Identify the lower price that is still in effect and ask Best Buy to review it.
- Be ready to show the current offer. Best Buy advises presenting the competitor’s current ad or website address as proof and says the offer must remain in effect while it is reviewed.
How long do I have to get a Best Buy price match?
The request window is tied to the applicable return and exchange period, not a single universal number of days for every purchase. Best Buy’s return policy distinguishes among purchase circumstances and products, so consult the Return & Exchange Policy and the current Price Match Guarantee for the period that applies to you. The return window is a deadline for making a qualifying request; it does not by itself make an excluded product or offer eligible.

What can make a lower price ineligible?
Best Buy does not match every lower price. Its U.S. policy applies to new items sold by Best Buy, subject to its criteria and exclusions. In particular, Marketplace Product prices are not eligible, whether listed on BestBuy.com or another website. The policy also excludes certain offer types, including:
- Clearance, open-box, and refurbished offers.
- Out-of-stock or limited-quantity offers.
- Certain membership-only prices.
- Financing offers, bundles, and coupon offers.
- Special limited-time sales.
Competitor offers must also meet Best Buy’s product, availability, and seller requirements. An alert, ad, or screenshot can help you identify and document a price, but it does not establish that the product or offer qualifies. Check the live terms before making a purchase decision or requesting a match.

Deal of the Day purchases
Best Buy’s Deal of the Day FAQ says a previous purchaser may request a match to an active Deal of the Day price during the applicable return and exchange period, provided Best Buy is selling the item and it is not a Marketplace Product. The deal ends when sold out online or, if it has not sold out, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the deal day. The price still has to satisfy the applicable policy criteria.
